My husband and I had a wonderful adventure during a 3 day safari In Masai Mara, Nairobi Kenya. A once In life experience that I will never forget. John Mwangi was our driver who was very knowledgeable of the wildlife national park terain. John ensured all our expectations were met. John was also very understanding, and patience when it came to us ladies shopping. There were a total of 8 of us in the group. Each day was an early morning rise out on the range, that went well into the early evening. Thanks John for looking after us and keeping us safe.
Our time in Masai Mara with Axis Africa was magical. Our driver was punctual, knowledgeable, attentive and a lot of fun. We saw giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, elephant, warthog, lions (including cubs!), cheetah, hippos, crocodiles and leopard. The drivers worked together very well to help our large family group have a great experience.
We had a wonderful experience with Axis African safaris. We had an incredible trip to the Masai Mari with our guide Sudan and our whole family. I highly recommend you book with axis. Their land cruisers were awesome and Sudan and our other guides took us right to the animals. It was so great. Can’t say enough how well this worked out. We have traveled with our family to many parts of the world. Our experience with Axis has been rewarding. Our guides were well educated and shared their knowledge. They ensured that all our family was safe, comfortable and made arrangements when necessary to accommodate special needs. Very professional; good, clean humor; and, prompt. They were patient with us (27 in our group of adults and children). Axis, Tabitha and our drivers/guides provided us with an exceptional experience. Axis is highly recommended.
We had a group of 27 people, and they were able to accommodate us in for Land Cruisers. Our guides were absolutely fantastic, very knowledgeable about Kenya history and Massai Mara and the the animals. We learned so much from them! I would definitely recommend this company. Our guide, Amos, went above and beyond, treating us like family, and teaching us about his country. We want to take him back home with us.

Hello there traveller! Have you heard of the song, he's a jolly good fellow... well yes, Axis Safari, represented by Winnie and driven by Julius were a jolly good team for 6 wildlife photographers from Delhi India including a 78 year old except for the challenges we faced written below with proof: 1. Limited water supply: Bottles of 500 ml given to each traveller, at best 3/4 bottles a day. Mind you, the outside temperature was 38C plus in Kenya during June 2026. 2. Our jolly good driver Julius was so homely, lively and honest it was a pleasure to be with him. However, he isn't ideal for photographers who need different angles, sense of lighting and patience to wait till the best frame and composition appears. 3. The land cruiser had AC and was not used despite a 10 hour 36C 40% humidity long drive where we reached Amboseli from Nairobi after a 10 hr drive! As a result, we lost fluids, health battery and ability to enjoy the long trip and got super tired with a 78 year old. 4. The car Julius drove was solid enough to go through any terrain, but was not well built, not comfortable, not repaired well, no ac and not maintained. There were far better cars available with others in the same price. As a family, Julius and the team are super apt! As professional photographers this is where I would call again. Had a truly amazing experience, saw so many beautiful animals up close. Kevin was an excellent tour guide for the duration and his experience shone through.
The tour was fantastic. The pick up times throughout our stay were on time and well equipped (including water bottles daily and a packed lunch). Kevin was very friendly and knowledgeable - making us all feel safe and comfortable in his hands, especially if it came to any questions. The accommodation was well equipped and the meals we had were tasty and the staff were very attentive. The safari itself is incredible - within the first few hours of our first evening we saw many animals and were lucky enough to see a leopard on our full day. Would absolutely recommend!
I had a great experience - everyone was so kind and helpful! The accommodation and food were great. Our operator John Mwangi was super nice and always tried his best to give us the greatest views of the animals!
