I had an amazing time :) our guide, Andrew Kamau, was fantastic and we saw soooo many animals. He even managed to find a Leopard. It was incredible. He was always on a mission to find us the best spots to see all animals. You could tell that he enjoyed his job and wanted to ensure that we had an amazing time, which we did! Would recommend him as a tour guide and axis Africa to anyone. They’ve been super helpful and communicative throughout the entire process!

My experience with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris was absolutely amazing! From the planning stage to the very end of the safari, everything was well organized, seamless, and handled professionally. He made my safari even more enjoyable with his excellent knowledge of the wildlife, the park, and the best spots to experience it all. It was an incredible experience from start to finish! Our guide, Kelvin, did everything possible to make sure we could see as many animals as possible. He was kind, funny and very knowledgeable, and he shared lots of interesting facts and curiosities about the animals throughout the safari. After each adventure, we arrived at beautiful, safe and comfortable places to rest, with delicious dinners and great breakfasts. They also provided us with bottled water constantly and took care of absolutely everything, so we could simply relax and enjoy the experience. I 100% recommend this company, and especially our guide KELVIN! He made the experience even more special. Thank you so much, Kelvin! 🐘🦁❤️

Absolutely an amazing experience! We have seen the most incredible animals- elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, hippos,… Out tour guide Jacob was fantastic- very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. The camp accommodation definitely were better than expected- clean, comfortable and well maintained. Highly recommended experience!!!

Our safari was magnificent. Everything was very well organized. Much of the credit goes to our guide, Dixon, who, with his extensive knowledge, took us to see all the animals. I highly recommend doing the safari with him as your guide.

We had an excellent experience with Axis, Tabitha was very patient with all my requests and my concerns (which were many), she responded promptly, always very professional, thank you Tabitha! We stayed at the Matira Bush Camp, which I found truly excellent, very clean and elegant, without being over the top, managed by Mr. Joseph with great professionalism and charm, all the staff were truly lovely, from our tent, nicer than a grand hotel, you can admire zebras, wildebeests, elephants and even hippos in the evening, a dream place, we slept very well, and we really enjoyed the experience, heartfelt thanks to everyone at Matira!! Kelvin Ngamia was a truly fantastic guide, always in a good mood, helpful, ready to adapt to our requests, very patient, friendly and willing to explain a bit of everything to us. He has the ability to understand the group and adapt to our particularities, absolutely recommended! THANK YOU KELVIN!!! we hope to be able to return soon to go on another safari with you! tour guide Kent is REALLY EXELENT!!!!

I had an amazing time during the whole trip! The service was excellent and everything was on time. Our tour guide, Tom, really made sure that we could see all animals that we wanted to spot and was also very knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of information about the park and animals. We also had a nice picnic inside the park. Overall, I highly recommend Tom and the company!

Our booking and organization with Axis Africa was super easy and they are very flexible and helpful with all our requests. Communication for planning is super fast, easy and straightforward. Our guide Tom was very friendly and made sure everyone felt welcome and taken care of. He knew a lot of the wildlife and was able to show us all the animals we wanted to see (and many more!!) - and he had many interesting facts about them that he shared with us along the way. We booked the whole Maasai Maria trip with Axis and we felt, that we got a lot of value for the price! 5 out of 5 - would book with them again!

Our experience with Axis Safari was overall mixed, with some very positive aspects but also some important issues. The biggest positive was undoubtedly our guide, John Mwangi. Our first interaction with the initial guide was unfortunately very poor, and after just a few minutes we asked Axis to change the guide. Axis accepted our request and arranged for John to take over, which we appreciated. John was excellent throughout the safari. He was knowledgeable, professional and particularly good at finding special wildlife encounters and positioning the vehicle at the right moments. Thanks to him, we had some truly memorable experiences, including an incredible leopard sighting. The PrideInn Mara was also a very pleasant part of the experience. The food was good, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The main disappointment was the safari vehicle. From the beginning, we had specifically requested a vehicle with canvas-covered rear windows, as we were travelling privately with two young children. When John took over, his vehicle did not have canvas-covered windows. We therefore asked Axis to keep both requirements: a different guide and a vehicle with canvas. Axis ultimately arranged for John to exchange vehicles with the initial guide, meaning we ended up using the initial guide’s vehicle — the same vehicle we had arrived in. We had only spent around five minutes in that vehicle initially, so we did not have the opportunity to properly assess its condition at that point. We chose to keep it because it was the only vehicle with canvas that Axis was able to make available to us. Unfortunately, over the following minutes, we discovered several issues with the vehicle. Most importantly, the majority of the seat belts were not functioning properly, which we found unacceptable when travelling with young children. There were also other maintenance issues, including charging ports that did not work and windows and doors that were not functioning properly. In addition, the vehicle was not particularly comfortable, which was disappointing given that this was a private safari and we spent many hours in the vehicle each day. To be fair, Axis was responsive to our requests and did make efforts to accommodate the change of guide and our requirement for a canvas-covered vehicle. However, we feel that the standard of the vehicle, both in terms of safety and comfort, was below what we expected from a private safari. Overall, John was excellent and made a significant difference to our experience, and PrideInn Mara was also very good. Unfortunately, the initial guide experience and, in particular, the condition and comfort of the vehicle prevented us from giving Axis a fully positive review.
