Mount Faber, Henderson Waves och Southern Ridges Tour

Är du en som gillar natur och vandring? Om så är fallet, låt oss upptäcka Southern Ridges, en serie kullar och parker som förbinder Kent Ridge Park, Hort Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, Mount Faber Park och Labrador Nature Reserve. Under denna utflykt kommer vi att vandra till Henderson Waves, en gångbro som sträcker sig över en djup dal 36 meter under. Vi fortsätter sedan till Faber Point, den högsta punkten i Mount Faber Park. Från observationsområdena där kommer vi att ha en panoramautsikt över staden, den södra regionen Singapore och de södra öarna. Lär dig också om vardagen för en genomsnittlig singaporean och utvecklingen av Singapores bostads- och sjöfartsindustri. Denna vandring tar dig genom en sekundär skog med en mångfald av flora och fauna. När vi går längs trädtopparna, håll utkik efter den orientaliska piskormen som solar sig på grenarna, cikadans rop eller den stråhövdade bulbulens sång. Denna resa är definitivt ett paradis för naturälskare!

Traversera på en förhöjd bro som skär genom adinandra belukar, en distinkt typ av sekundär skog där skogen förnyas efter uttömmande jordbruksexploatering. Håll utkik efter den rika floran och faunan, som den halmhuvuden bulbul, vävermyrboet eller den orientaliska piskormen, bland trädkronorna. Jag kommer också att dela med dig av de typer av vilda djur som finns i Singapore.
Terrace Garden består av en serie halvcirkelformade terrasser som ligger på toppen av Telok Blangah Hill. Härifrån kommer du att kunna njuta av en hisnande 360-graders utsikt över Singapore. Om du har tur kanske vi kan se ett hav av rosa bougainvillea blomma.
Henderson Waves är en gångbro som sträcker sig över en djup dal 36 meter nedanför. Den unika vågliknande designen hos Henderson Waves ger en ovanlig syn och en berömd fotoplats.
Faber Point är den högsta punkten på berget Faber. Från utsiktsplatserna här kommer vi att ha en panoramautsikt över staden, södra delen av Singapore och de södra öarna. Om vädret är bra kommer vi att kunna se Marina Bay Sands på långt håll! Från dessa utsiktspunkter kommer jag också att berätta om livet för en genomsnittlig singaporean, utvecklingen av Singapores bostäder och den maritima industrins betydelse för Singapore.

Was an amazing tour, our tour guide was Keith and he was very friendly and very patient. Always waited for us to catch up when we were going up the stairs. He was also very informative about plants and trees we passed. Absolutely recommend anyone taking this tour with Keith! He is the best!!,
Fantastic morning to hike the Southern Ridges! Keith was happy to spot the common hill mynah and thanks to Jill, the bronzeback snake. Peter and Jill are a lovely jovial couple. Enjoy your stay in Singapore :)

Fine day for a walk in the Southern Ridges. Keith was happy to spot not one, but two of our native green crested lizard together with you! And also the greater racket-tailed drongo. Julie and Paul are polite and happy to share their stories. Take care and safe flight home :)
Keith was a fabulous guide - very passionate and, as a Singapore local, very happy to share his knowledge of local life and culture, as well as the plant life we saw along the way. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone keen to see the green and largely unseen part of Singapore that lies so close to the centre. A reasonable degree of fitness is a prerequisite. While Keith takes plenty of time to stop and explain things along the way, getting up Mt Faber takes some energy!
Fantastic weather for a walk in the southern ridges! Keith enjoyed sharing about the local flora and fauna, and the 'toothpick' story on one of the palm tree. Wendy and Martin were polite and friendly guests! Take care and hope to see you again :)
This is a very well organised trip and Keith, our guide, provided very professional and clear communication via Whats App prior to the event, even adjusting the start from 8:30am to 9:30 am to accommodate our request due to our jetlag. The starting point at Hort Park office is easily reached by taxi for a reasonable price. On the morning of our walk the heavens opened and it started to rain heavily but this did not dampen our experience as Keith was really enthusiastic and professional and talked to us about a whole range of life, history and culture in Singapore. The walk itself is easy but there are some steep bits and some steps to navigate so should be borne in mind by those with mobility needs. The walk enabled us to see the nature that surrounds the city and when we reached the top of Mount Faber this afforded us with a brilliant view. Fortunately the rain had stopped at this point so we could see for miles. Keith was really entertaining and had a great sense of humour. He speaks really good English and was also very interested in what's happening around the world so we enjoyed good overall conversation as well as learning lots about the Singaporean way of life. Along the way he invited us to taste local produce from the area, including the notorious Durian fruit which has a very specific smell and taste and is not for the faint hearted! The end of the walk is located at the Mount Faber cable car station and I had booked a separate ticket for the cable car in order to combine the end of the walk with a trip over to Sentosa Island. I would recommend this combination to make a full day. Keith showed us the entrance to the station which was very kind. Thankyou Keith for being a great guide. A perfect way to amble away a rainy Sunday morning in Singapore.

Keith our local guide walked us through Hort Park , Henderson Wave Bridge and Mt Faber look out at a comfortable scenic pace. Keith was able to inform and answer our questions regarding the trees and plant growth, history of the area and knew where to take some lovely memorable photos along our walk.
