Mindo en av de vackraste platserna nära Quito väntar på dig!! Njut av en mycket charmig och okänd subtropisk regnskog från bekvämligheten av en anpassningsbar och flexibel privat dagstur. Fotografera hundratals kolibrier som bara landar på händerna, tukaner och många andra exotiska varelser från ett mycket nära avstånd!! Njut av en spektakulär utsikt över "molnskogen" från en linbana, och gör en vandring genom ett charmigt vattenfall reservat...!!

Mindo – Nambillo är ett ekologiskt reservat med cirka 22 000 hektar primärskog. Inne i detta bevarade område kan vi hitta ett naturligt komplex av 15 vattenfall, vart och ett av dem med olika höjd och skönhet! Din Guide hämtar dig kl. 08.00 från ditt hotell i Quito för att besöka denna fascinerande plats full av vilda djur!
Väl uppe på 1.900 meter över havet kommer kolibrier, luftväxter, orkidéer och andra överraskande exotiska arter att ta vår fulla uppmärksamhet! Efter att ha gått hela vägen genom den kurviga vägen stannar vi vid en Hummingbirds gård för att njuta av hisnande upplevelser med dessa små varelser och det fantastiska landskapet.
Efter att ha tagit massor av bilder och slow-mo videos, kommer du att koppla av med en kopp kaffe på en lokal kaffeplantage. Sedan kör du ner till Mindo Village, som ligger i södra kanten av Choco/Andinska hotspots av biologisk mångfald som sträcker sig från sydvästra Colombia till nordvästra Ecuador. Mindoområdet har internationell betydelse för fåglar, som utsågs till det första området i Sydamerika av Birdlife International 1997. På detta förtrollande gröna kungarike väntar ett överflöd av liv på din upptäckt! Därför tar du en linbana som går genom en 530 meter lång kabel, för att njuta av landskapet på andra sidan bergen!
Efter den oförglömliga linbanan kommer det att vara möjligt att vandra cirka 1 timme, beroende på dina fysiska förutsättningar, för att besöka det vackraste vattenfallet som kallas ”Nambillo”, där du kan ha en uppfriskande bad! Din privata guidade tur kommer att bekanta dig med molnskogens sprudlande vegetation, dess fågelliv och de fascinerande anpassningarna till livet i denna speciella miljö.
Ni hinner med lunch om ni anser det nödvändigt. Då får du en oförglömlig och lärorik dessert på en chokladprovningstur!
Om det finns lite tid kvar kommer det att vara möjligt att göra ett besök på en orkidé och fjärilsfarm. Ungefär klockan 17:30 är du tillbaka på ditt hotell i Quito. Slut på denna fantastiska upplevelse på en dag fylld av underbara upptäckter!

Luis was a fabulous guide. Our day was absolutely the test. We visited the Mindo Cloud Forest and saw the hummingbirds as well as other birds (San Tadeo Birding), visited Mariposas de Mindo for the butterflies. We had a delicious lunch in Mindo. Was a great day!

I love that our tour guide, Deanna, was as passionate about the environment as we were! Because she was so in tune with the experience we were able to see toucans! The entire experience was perfect. We loved the hike to the waterfall and the cable car ride! The Hummingbird Farm was a definite highlight.

This was a terrific one day trip. We did the Hummingbirds, Butterfly area, waterfall hike and the chocolate factory. We had a terrific experience and Ximena was a wonderful guide. Our group was 12 people ranging from 15- 78 and there was enough to do at each location to interest everyone. I would definitely book this experience again on another trip to Ecuador.

Ivan was prompt and professional. He tailored our trip what we wanted to see and do. We saw and did some amazing things. But the highlight was by far the birds and humming birds. He gave us the option of 2 farms and it was well worth going to the more exclusive one! I could have sat there all day. Ivan was a wealth of knowledge and I would highly recommend!

The trip to Mindo was fantastic. We were able to choose from several activities presented by our guide to fill in our day. We chose; a walk to a waterfall, viewing hummingbirds, riding a zip line bicycle, taking a gondola ride and having a chocolate tasting activities. Note that most activities have a small fee associated with them outside of booking the guide. From $5 -&10 dollars. Our favorites were the bird watching where we were surrounded by incredibly diverse and beautiful hummingbirds and chocolate tasting where we were walked through all of the steps required to make chocolate from cocao beans then we tasted various flavors of chocolate as well as other chocolate products. Ximena, our guide led us through all activities and provided tons of insight on the culture and history of the place.

This was our favorite individual day in the Quito area. Our guide Ximena was so knowledgeable and friendly. She helped us customize our day to fit in everything we wanted and made recommendations to make the experiences the best possible. She readily helped take photos for us and kept us on time.
