Maui : Vägen till Hana Deluxe Rainforest och Vattenfall Experience

Had the best time! Jason, our tour guide was awesome! We would highly recommend if he’s available. We learned so much about the culture, island, and agriculture. The sites were some of the most beautiful in the world. We would definitely do it again!

We had an amazing experience. Derreck treated us like his own family. Very knowledgeable about the history and known to people we meet in Hana. Absolutely recommended.

If you want to experience the road to Hāna without the stress and hassle this is the way to go! You get to see all of the most important stops, hear all of the amazing facts about Hawaii, while also getting to enjoy the view of the ride and being more safe as you aren’t driving! Jason was absolutely an amazing tour guide: hilarious jokes and also very knowledgeable about the Hawaiian culture, history, and geography. He went above and beyond, you can tell he really wants to give you a good experience. He even gave us great tips on food and things to do around the area we were staying in, and music! Absolutely loved the trip, and would definitely do it again if that meant Jason was our guide.

We had a very pleasant experience. Our driver Ed was very personable and knowledgeable. RTH is a very long trip, so it was nice to have a friendly driver to help us pass the time. Ed asked all of us what we wanted to see the most so we all could have a great experience.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this tour. Everything felt very rushed, even the bathroom breaks. I would have preferred fewer stops and more time at the waterfalls to actually enjoy the scenery and experience. With so many curves on the Road to Hana, the drive can make you dizzy, so constantly rushing from one stop to another made it less enjoyable. We were only given one bottle of water for the entire trip, and the sandwich was terrible. The driver talked almost nonstop, but the commentary became boring and I actually fell asleep. He also didn’t seem very attentive to how the passengers were feeling. For such a long tour, I expected better food, more water, more attention to the passengers, and more time to enjoy the best stops.

Jason was an excellent tour guide and provided us with a lot of info about the area and stops! The food stops were great and we LOVED Aunty Sandy’s Banana bread! It still felt warm when we got it home! Our pickup location was great for us as we had a vehicle to meet the tour! It was a full day but still got back to our car by 3:30 pm! Jason even recommended a few local restaurants and shops for us! We had a great experience! In our opinion he’s one of the best. Jason has a great spirit and you can tell he loves his work.

Guide was new and not very knowledgeable. She appeared to be sleepy (veering off the road) and was even pulled over for running a read light and was given a warning. Her driving was questionable. We were dropped off in a town and told to return to the van in 20 minutes. It was early in the morning so everything was closed. At this point we wanted to return to the resort. She then picked up her boyfriend and said he would help during the tour. On the way back we felt safer because the boyfriend drove. The was not a whole lot of dialogue on the way back which made the trip seem longer. Lunch was meh. There werent even condiment packets to go along with the sandwiches. Also, everyone does not like bean sprouts. That should have been mentioned as an option. Overall, I would not book this tour again as it is quite pricey for the experience we received.

This tour was everything I expected and more! We were able to see everything that was promised, but as an added bonus, our tour guide, Michaela, took us to some incredible off-the-beaten-path spots as well—including a beautiful waterfall that my son was able to jump off of. That will probably end up being the highlight of his entire trip! Michaela was incredibly knowledgeable. I especially loved learning about all of the plants and trees, including their medicinal and beauty properties. Beyond her knowledge, she was so personable and immediately made us feel like we were spending the day with a friend. She was constantly checking in with everyone to make sure we were comfortable and getting exactly what we wanted out of the experience. Pick-up was right at our resort and perfectly on time, which made everything incredibly easy. Michaela even texted us the night before to confirm the details and make sure all of our questions were answered. I would book this tour again without a second thought. If you’re looking for a truly full experience—with a flexible itinerary that can adapt to the vibe of a small group, plenty of hidden gems, and lots of fun along the way—book this tour! You won’t regret it.

Fun tour with spectacular views of the island's North coast. The guide Ed was very good at entertaining and sharing many interesting facts.

We were picked up at our hotel at 6 am and didn't return until 6 pm. We stopped many times at bathroom facilities. Bring your breakfast; one of the first stops is a nice place to eat. Our tour guide, Chris, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and stopped at numerous places to take photos, have a great lunch (sandwiches, water) and swim in turquoise waters. Know that you'll be in the mini-van for a good part of the day and getting in and out many times. We stopped at waterfalls, black sand beaches and lookouts during the day. He pointed out all the sights at each stop. There are snacks on the way back. I do recommend you bring a water bottle with you to drink while in the van. Do not attempt to drive the road to Hana yourself. It is a twisting, winding, mountainous road with many one-land bridges. Fabulous excursion! Since this is a long day, I recommend you eat dinner at your hotel afterwards!
