Maui Snorkling äventyr Från Ma'alaea hamnen till Molokini

It was fabulous and the crew was excellent and attentive.This was our first time snorkeling. I wish I would’ve practiced before going out on this amazing excursion. It was good for beginners but better if you already have some experience. Even though it was a big group on the boat, we had plenty of space. Mahalo for professional and caring crew

It was an incredible experience!! The food was great! The staff was amazing and organized. I felt safe in the water with the lifeguards there. This boat was very comfortable to travel on.

Had a great time on the Calypso. Crew was awesome, very attentive and we had a great time. Snorkeling was fun, it was super windy, but I think that’s normal. Totally worth it and a great experience.

We sailed all the way out to the crater. When we arrived, the captain deemed the waters unsafe to snorkel in. Honestly, what century are we in? Wouldn’t it have been possible to use your navigational tools or message ahead to some of the other 15 boats that were at the crater? We then went to turtle town to snorkel and the conditions were terrible. The captain said we were going to go back and try again to snorkel at the crater. Obviously we got there and it was a no go. We spent the rest of the time just wasting time. Honesty is huge and I just wish they would’ve said that we can’t snorkel there and cancel the trip or at least have been upfront and honest that this trip isn’t going to be what you signed up for. I spent $1300 on my family of seven and they were all really upset! We go to Maui about 2 to 3 times a year and this was by far the worst snorkeling trip we’ve ever had! It was so hot on the boat and rocky. We were just literally cruising in the heat doing absolutely nothing. I asked one of the staff members what we were doing, and he said that the captain said everybody was finishing their lunch. I looked around and absolutely nobody was eating lunch as everyone was finished. They were just completely wasting our time. I would’ve rather just have gone back two hours early instead of sitting there roasting in the sun having a terrible time! The bottom line is, if you can’t execute the description on the itinerary, the boat should not go out! I will say that the staff was nice and the food was delicious. They offered an open bar at no cost, but my family doesn’t drink alcohol so that really didn’t benefit us. I feel the only fair thing to do with a bill of almost $1300 is to issue a 30% refund!

A good overall experience but not a trip I would book again. We went on a smaller boat last year and wanted to try something different for our 3 kids age 11 & 5. We were drawn to the glass bottom, slides and jumping platform. The crew was very friendly and provided very good guidance on the trip. The two locations we visited were ok but personally we enjoyed sailing north on the island more than the crater and “turtle town”. Food was fine coffee was awful. There were multiple people on our trip who were return customers so everyone’s experience may very clearly some people really like the trip.

The operation is great but the destination is not anymore. We've been to Molokini probably 5 different times over the years and whether it's the specific spot or something else, there just isn't a lot to see anymore. Some fish, dive down to the reef, and the experience is fine but the destination is pretty meh nowadays. The water was super rough the day we went so it was cut short and then we weren't able to go to turtle town but instead went to a spot on the west side with a strong tide so we were swimming against that the whole time. Not the operations fault but that's likely our last of the Molokini tours cause there's better stuff elsewhere.

Great experience. Because of the tropical depression south of Maui we were unable to snorkel at Molokini Crater. The Captain deemed it unsafe which was a good call. He took us to Turtle town and the waters were much calmer. Saw several sea turtles. The crew was attentive to those who got sea sick. If the weather service calls for a wind advisory you might want to take something for seasickness because there were alot of people who got sick. We were the last boat to go out for the next couple of days because of the choppy water.

The activity is well organized and the staff is attentive and very helpful. We were, however, a bit disappointed with the snorkeling activities; we would have expected a greater variety of fish, and at the Turtle sanctuary, spotting turtles is truly unlikely. The day after at Kapalua beach, we were able to see numerous fish and turtles while snorkeling on our own and for free.

Great service and amazing boat with tons of room to get into/out of the water - basically no waiting to get out snorkeling!
