Kombinera din kärlek till god mat och cykling på denna matprovning på cykel! Denna turné låter dig prova de underbara kulinariska läckerheterna i den "Röda staden" i Marrakech. Du cyklar först till den berömda Jemaa el-Fnaa torget och sedan navigera genom den mystiska medina stoppa för godis, kött och mycket mer.

Du kan anlända med taxi eller till fots om du använder Google Maps se AXS-Bike Tours och Hire Marrakech. Vi är ett av de ursprungliga cykeltursföretagen i Marrakech på denna plats sedan 2010. Vänligen kom till butiken 10 minuter tidigt för att träffa guiderna och chatta och naturligtvis göra cykelpassning, hjälmmontering och säkerhetsdiskussion.
Vi kommer att passera nära en traditionell kvartersmarknad. I närheten kommer att stanna för traditionell frukost där lokalbefolkningen äter. Vi kommer att smaka på bisara (soppa gjord på platta bönor) och loubia (söta vita bönor) och kommer att sopa upp det med lokalt bröd och naturligtvis sött mynta.
Den äldre delen byggdes av Almoravide Youseff ben Tashfin år 1070 och uppdaterades av Ali ben Yousseff 1106. På 1600-talet restaurerade och färdigställde familjedynastin Alouite det palats vi ser idag. Eftersom den används av kungafamiljen och inte kan komma in av turister så kommer vi att åka förbi på våra cyklar.
Vi kommer att stanna precis utanför Saadien-gravarna men kommer inte att gå in eftersom cyklar inte är tillåtna inuti. Vi stannar vid Kasbah-moskén byggd av Ya'qub al-Mansur från Almohad-dynastin mellan 1185 och 1190.
Rider vi från Kasbah går vi in i medinan och går in i Mellah som är Marrakechs traditionella judiska kvarter. Detta kvarter är känt för guld och silver, fiskmarknaden samt kryddmarknaderna. Vi kommer att stanna hos en kryddsäljare som vi känner väl och få en fullständig förklaring av marockanska kryddor, du kan köpa om du vill eller bara lyssna och lära dig.
Vi stannar på en lokal restaurang för att smaka på olika typer av mat. Vi börjar med en marockansk salland sedan kan du smaka på tangia, couscous och tagine. Vi avslutar på traditionellt vis med myntte. Vi har ett separat stopp för kakor - spara plats
Vi går in i Jemaa el-Fnaa på cykel. Detta är ett världsarv där resenärer genom tiderna har samlats för att handla varor, underhållas av berättelser och gilla föreställningar och naturligtvis för att äta och dricka. Vi kommer att stanna i mitten av torget för att ta ett kallt glas apelsinjuice. Vi kommer också att stanna vid Koutobia-moskén från 1100-talet och lära oss historien om detta viktiga landmärke
Vi har lite godis längs vägen och hittar så småningom vägen genom labyrinten av gator tillbaka till där vi började - AXS Bike Tours and Hire men full av minnen och smaker från Marrakech

We had an interesting experience. Our guide did not tell us much about food and we never made it to the spice market. I forgot to ask about it at the time and we just followed our guide trustingly. Cycling through the Medina was hectic but fun. We ended up at a school where they feed homeless people breakfast in the evening during Ramadan which was bizzare. Tasty soup though.
Unas was an excellent guide with great knowledge. Fantastic way to get around the city and to take in the sights I would highly recommend this tour.
One of the best tours we did in Marrakech. Our guide, Younis, was knowledgable and good humoured. He also navigated us safely on bikes through the city. The food stops were excellent but we also got a good insight into the history of the city. Five stars for this tour.
Brilliant way to see the highlights of Marrakech and taste some authentic food. Mohammed was a super guide - very friendly and knowledgable and kept us safe on the busy streets! Highly recommended.
Our guide was very friendly and helpful. Since our food tour just fell on Ramadan and many shops had closed during the day, we could not start our original LocalTour like this. But our guide improvised superbly and moved the tasting to the medina. And who can claim to have ridden through with the bike DA! The food was very delicious and by bike you could drive off many sights and also immediately stomped off the extra pounds. There was also a lot of interesting information about Moroccan culture, religion and cuisine, all in an easy-to-understand English. What we also found very positive was that we were not driven to any shops where spices, oils or clothes are literally forced on you. All in all a good tour, which is probably even better outside Ramadan time!
Bike tour was lots of fun. I'm sure we were just confused because we had read about so many different activities, but we did expect this tour to be more food tasting than biking. We did have a main dish at one restaurant, and a smoothie at another place, and both were really yummy. We biked through the medina, and the tour guide pointed out some great things for us to go explore later. He also took some fun pictures of us. The starting and ending point for the tour was outside of the medina, which meant that we had a significant length of ride at the beginning and end of the tour. Bikes are not allowed to ride on the sidewalks, so we drove on the side of the road, and sometimes competed with the cars for space on the road. The guides were awesome at keeping us safe, and helped us negotiate the busy round-a-bouts safely. We had a couple of teenaged boys in our group who were not super experienced with driving and sharing the road, but the guides were very patient and kind. They made sure we all had bikes that fit us, and they were able to tweak a couple of adjustments along the way as well. The guides were so nice even though we were about 20 min late for our appointment. I would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a different perspective of the city, and for people who enjoy biking.
This was our favorite experience in our time in Morocco. Definitely need to feel comfortable about riding a bike, but it's much easier than it may seem when pressed into the tight confines of the medina. We were able to see and taste so much in a short amount of time and get great recommendations, wish we had booked it for our first day in town!
I am an avid foodie and an amateur cyclist, and this tour was a very satisfying combination of my two interests. If I had one criticism, it would be that I wish there had been more food stops, although every stop we did make was well curated. (If I remember correctly, we made 5 stops.) Our group was small enough to feel approachable and our guide was generous with his time -- we never felt in a rush. Our guide, Ismail B, went above and beyond to ensure that my partner and I were comfortable and satisfied during our experience. As an added bonus, he captured many photos of us during the tour that we will cherish for years to come. Ismail was extremely kind and patient. I would recommend this tour for the person who seeks to sample the kind of cuisine locals enjoy and also wants to experience the perspective on Merrakech that a cyclist gains.
We took the four hour tour of the city lead by MohammedG. The bikes were of a very good standard and MohammedG was an excellent guide - unlike many other bike and bite tours - food stops on this tour allowed us to feast on a wide range of typical Morocco’s food and drink. Between the food stops we tour the inner core of the city and were taken to a number of important locations in the city. I highly recommend the tour and the guide. I also suggest you don’t eat before tour as you will be well feed as you cycle around. A key point to note is the TripAdvisor directions to start point of the tour are wrong - contact Xstream sports and ask them to send you a text of the correct address.

Was picked up at our Ryad by our young guide, Younes, to take us to bike shop. Once geared up w helmet and good mountain bike, we took off to the old Medina. Squeezed through narrower and narrower streets filled w shops, casual roadside restaurant/stands. Saw kids coming out of schools; donkey carts blocking our paths; the royal palace protected by uniformed guards... We started w their typical breakfast: white bean soup with olive oil, then had fresh pomegranate and ginger juice (my choice—there is plenty to choose from) next to the monkey trainers and snake charmers, the. strong coffee (and bathroom stop) then a tagine and beef tangia feast. We finished with sticky sweets near the gate. He photographed us in the most acrobatic ways so we have good picture of ourselves biking in Marrakech! Great exercise, bit crazy but felt safe, and good intro to Moroccan food! Alexandra
