Vi gick ner till Poiso, korsade den magiska Laurissilva-skogen, med sina hundraåriga träd och dimman som omsluter varje steg. I Ribeiro Frio avslöjar stigarna och öringdammar naturens överflöd. Cova da Roda erbjuder en oas av lugn, där tystnaden endast bryts av fågelsång. Santanas halmtakshus förtrollar med sina livfulla färger och traditionella charm, ett sant vykort. Guindaste ger oss en spektakulär utsikt över havet och den taggiga kustlinjen, perfekt för fotografier. Vid Ponta de São Lourenço, de dramatiska klippformationerna och oändliga havet överraskar, vilket skapar ett landskap som verkar överjordiskt. På 1818 meter över havet, den tredje högsta punkten på ön Madeira, ligger Pico do Areeiro. Från denna upphöjda plats avslöjar utsikten en bredd som gör det möjligt för observatörer att sträcka ut sin blick över den unika storheten i bergsmassivet från Madeira, med Atlanten i bakgrunden.
Med en total längd på 4,09 km ger det besökarna en uppslukande upplevelse i det bergiga landskapet på ön Madeiras sydkust.
Vereda dos Balcões är en kort stig, 1,5 km lång (plus 1,5 km tur och retur), som låter dig njuta av utsikten från utsiktsplatsen Miradouro dos Balcões. Denna enkla led, med en beräknad längd på 1 timme och 30 minuter, börjar på regionalväg nr 103 i Ribeiro Frio och följer Levada da Serra do Faial. Längs Vereda dos Balcões-leden får du möjlighet att stöta på inhemska och endemiska arter från Madeira, som ger Laurissilva-skogen olika nyanser av grönt. De "små husen i Santana" har blivit ikoner vida kända nationellt (och utanför) för den speciella skönheten i deras arkitektoniska stil. Med en triangulär form och täckta av halmtak är de den största symbolen för denna kommun på norra kusten av ön Madeira. I själva verket är dessa typiska hus en återspegling av isoleringen av denna plats, som under lång tid var svår att komma åt från land och till sjöss. Bevarandet av unika kulturdrag, som ett resultat av denna beredskap, har blivit ett arv av enormt värde för denna kommun, som idag har cirka 8800 invånare.
Ponta de São Lourenço är den långa halvön som utgör den östra spetsen av ön Madeira, öster om byn Caniçal. Den slutar på Farol Island.
Sista stoppet vid Cristo Rei, med en staty som går tillbaka till 1921, och med en fantastisk utsikt över Atlanten och Madeiras kust.
Guindastes utsiktspunkt ligger på en av sluttningarna av Ribeira do Faials mynning, i Santana kommun, och erbjuder en fantastisk utsikt över kustlinjen på Madeiras norra kust. Det är den idealiska platsen för att beundra skönheten i Atlanten som badar ön.

My special thanks go to Miguel, our friendly good guide/driver, in short nothing but good. He changes the schedule to avoid large groups. He also has a good restaurant reserved for us, nice that you do not have to look for yourself. Miguel was a very nice and accommodating guide; he told us a lot about the island and also took care of alternatives when a stop on the tour did not work out. He took care of everything, so we did not have to worry about anything, not even our lunch. We would definitely do this full-day tour again!

We did the full day East tour with Warriors Adventure led by our amazing guide Miguel. He was friendly, very engaging, proactively telling us about the stops but also about customs and life on the island. Highly recommend this side of the island for the dramatic scenery and relaxing vibe. Way better than hiring a car and trying to find the places (&parking!) yourself.

My husband and I did an East of island tour. Miguel picked us up from our hotel and had been in touch before with information and answered any questions we had which was a personal thing to do. Just spent a great day with Miguel My wife and I booked a day tour of the East side of the island Super friendly Guy and incredibly knowledgeable Numerous stops / places of interest including some not visited by other tour companies Will be coming back to Maderia and will definitely book the West side tour with Miguel HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I especially recommend Miguel, our guide. Punctual, drove safely, provided good explanations, and was friendly; you can tell he puts heart and soul into it. He knows the most beautiful parts of Madeira and adapts his route to the client's wishes. Had a delicious lunch at a restaurant on Miguel's recommendation. He even booked the restaurant for us.

We spent a wonderful day with Miguel in Madeira. As soon as I booked the tour, I felt confident that I had done the right thing, because he communicated with me immediately, and that continued right up to our tour date. He was prompt picking us up at the port and extremely flexible about the plans. Because the weather didn’t cooperate for hiking, he recommended a wonderful restaurant for lunch and even called ahead to reserve a table for us. Miguel navigated the narrow hilly roads with ease, taking us to some less crowded spots on the island where the sights were breathtaking. Definitely recommend booking your day with Warrior Adventures for a more memorable, personalized experience.
