I den här praktiska demonstrationen kommer vi att lära dig grunderna för att göra dina egna biltongstavar - hur du väljer ditt kött, skär, marinaderar, kryddar, botar och lagrar det. Vi erbjuder veganer ett förvånansvärt bra alternativ och slår vad om att du också kommer att bli beroende! Ta reda på hur en engelsk 'soutie' som jag gifte sig med en afrikaans 'Boeremeisie' och hur vi kombinerar våra distinkta och olika kulturer. Lär dig om ursprunget till det afrikanska språket (det enda europeiska språket som är född i Afrika!) Vi kommer att lära dig några uttryck över en stark "moerkoffie" serverad i en plåtmugg tillsammans med en bit av Souties hemgjorda Karringmelkbeskuit. Vi skapar en rolig, avslappnad atmosfär med Boeremusiek (folkmusik) och några medryckande afrikanska låtar för att visa upp vår regnbågsnations autentiska, varmhjärtade gästfrihet. Var beredd på långa berättelser, bitar av historia och några klassiska afrikanska talesätt för att krydda dina konversationer under denna unika kulturupplevelse.

A great experience. We were welcomed in to their home and learned many things about South African culture and cooking. We went as a family and thoroughly enjoyed our 2 hours.

Lovely experience with lovely people. They have a lovely home where you’ll work with both of them to sample snacks and make biltong. It was interactive and fun and you learn a lot about the South African culture in a not so typical way. They also send you home with a little to go package. Lovely couple - would recommend to anyone.

We had a great experience. Greg was a great communicator and very accommodating. We enjoyed learning about biltong, Afrikaans history and culture in such an intimate setting. It was a unique and fun activity, one that we will certainly remember.
You're right, we also enjoy every minute we spend with guests. And, of course, we get to taste and talk about all the things we love! Thanks for choosing to spend time with us. It was so 'lekker'.
Lindie and Greg were very warm and welcoming. My husband and I really enjoyed the experienc, we learnt a lot about biltong in a fun way, we did biltong tasting and made our own biltong, the meat was so fresh that we actually tasted it raw after marinading it (optional). I highly recommend this experience as biltong is one of the most important foods in South Africa.

Greg and Lindi provide a friendly environment to learn about the history and making of billtong. It's in their home, which is nice and intimate. They provide some good tastings and you get the chnace to prepare some biltong sticks. They provide some of the recipes to you during and they have since sent me the photos and another recipie at no extra cost. if you're a meat lover its a good experience. It lasted 1.5hours. they offered thsirt to buy at the end however I would have liked to be offered to purchase some billtong or some seasonings.

We had a good time with Soutie & Boerenooi, sharing with us their stories about history of biltong, the Africaan language and more, with tasting of different biltongs, sweet snacks, brewed chicory coffee.... They made it fun and interactive.

Totally brilliant!!! Worth every cent. Rich in history and culture. A definite must-do. Even my kids were crazy about it.
