Due to unforeseen circumstances I ended not being able to do the Inca Trail part of the tour but Ramareo ensured that I was met at the train station by a representative of the hotel and my needs taken care of During the hike he attempted to contact to ensure I was being looked after On arriving at Machu Picchu early next day we had a comprehensive tour using all his local knowledge.A great big thanks for your support and encouragement 💋
We had the fortune of having Romario as our guide, a local, knowledgable guide who had an extreme amount of patience! The initial route was changed due to a landslide, the first 2km's of the new route is a steep incline, which i would not recommend unless you have some trekking experience. The lunch that was served on the hike, prepared by the locals, was some of the tastiest food we had in Peru. The 5 star rating has all to do with Romario's excellent demeanour on how to handle a group of travellers with different skill levels, thank you my Inca friend you are the best!
An excellent excursion, very well organized and professional. The hike and the visit require quite a bit of management, with different tickets and reservations for trains, buses, entries, accommodations, etc., and everything must be booked well in advance during peak season. TrekXperience makes it very easy and takes care of everything for a reasonable price. Our guide, Romario, was kind, very well-informed, helpful, flexible with our preferences, and also very fun. Highly recommended for those who want to do the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu or other excursions!
