Scott was a fabulous host. Knowledgeable, professional, friendly and great fun. His passion for the city's history was infectious along with his enthusiasm and insight. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and we would highly recommend this experience.
This was an ace experience, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Our host scott was friendly, welcoming, and properly knowledgeable, especially when it came to the quirky little stories … in fact, he kept pointing out things we’d walked straight past earlier in the trip without giving them a second thought! The group got on great from the off and there was a lovely bit of camaraderie throughout. Everyone had a laugh, and I suppose the excellent beer helped that along. All in all, it all felt very relaxed and good-natured, like exploring the city with a bunch of mates rather than a formal tour. A top-notch experience all round, thank you again! - jackie & larry
As first-time visitors, we had a brilliant afternoon, learned loads about the city, and came away feeling we'd experienced a much more authentic side of York. We visited several cracking pubs and discovered plenty of fascinating stories and hidden corners that never seem to make it into the usual "Top 10 Things to Do" lists. The guide’s love for York really shone through and we'd wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone fancying something a bit different from the usual tourist trail.
We cannot reccomend Scott's tour enough. We have been to York a couple of times before and this tour is by far the best. We got to visit several lovely pubs and learnt a lot about the history of the city. Scott is not only well versed in York history but in European travel as a whole and is an interesting person to have a pint (or several!) with.

This was our second time in York and this was our most memorable tour bar none. The experience blends hidden sights and quirky tidbits with unique pubs and delicious beer. It’s obvious that the guide loves York and it shows with the tour being good value for money as well.
This experience combined history with a good time and made our weekend in York very special indeed. Scott was knowledgeable and pointed out many things in the city we would have simply missed without him. The pubs were a diverse mix, giving us time to relax and rest our feet.
Guide was funny and knowledgeable about the city. Pubs were a great mix of places we wouldn't have found on our own. The time seemed to fly by even though we felt like we saw so much of the city. Best for pub or beer lovers who also like quirky history.
