If due to the weather, you will not go out to see the glacier, but they will not even partially refund you. Hope you get lucky.
We had a remarkable cruise—saw a group of humpbacks cooperatively feeding with birds swarming over them. It was breathtaking and beautiful! Heard their whale song too! Our kids were mesmerized. Not to mention the incredible blue glacier! This was definitely a highlight of our spectacular family trip to Alaska—unforgettable!
Wonderful tour. Very professional. We saw so much; lots of whales. Humpies and Orcas. Beautiful glaciers. Crew members did an excellent job. I highly recommend.
This was an amazing excursion - we saw so much wildlife and the Fjords were just as beautiful as the pictures. It seemed like a magical place, very unique. Riding up to the glacier was amazing - there was not a lot of calving (we could hear it more than see it), but it was still really cool. The staff was great - the included lunch was burritos & chips/salsa, which my family enjoyed. It was also cool to have drinks served with glacier ice on our way back from the glacier. This is a "must do" if you are traveling in this area.
This was an amazing tour. Very well organized and professional in every regard. The crew were knowledgeable and extremely personable. We saw whales, a glacier and countless wildlife. If you only do one excursion this is the one to see the best snapshot of Alaska!!! Nice lunch, opportunity to buy a Glacier Ice Margaritas and to top it off a warm chocolate chip cookie at the end of the day. We felt like guests rather than tourists. Highly Recommend this tour company for this activity, they had everything right!!!!
This us a grwat tour to see wildlife and a glacier up close. The crew were great and the boat and captain were grwat. Saw some wild life but only one whale. The glacier up close was the highlight. Caution if you get sea sick easy be prepared or you might want to skip.
Plan on a lovely day. The top level of the boat fills up quick. If you are prone to sea sickness, take the bottom level and stay to the back part of the boat.
It was amazing to see the glaciers and the whales. Make sure you wear warm clothes as it was very cold and rainy.
This cruise would likely have been a better experience if the weather was better. Check-in felt chaotic as 100-150 guests were trying to scan their tickets on one side of a narrow room to fill out the waivers, then crossing to the other side of the room to scan their ticket again in order to check-in. Why not one machine for everything? The room was much too small for that many people and a half dozen machines. There is a very spacious gift shop attached to. Perhaps some of that space should be used. Because of the rain, it was difficult to be out on deck while the boat was in motion. My pants quickly got drenched, and I spent the next five hours uncomfortable. As the boat goes around the Cape to exit/enter the bay, it was very rough for about 25 minutes each way. Thank goodness for Dramamine! It is a must. Even with it, I was locked on the horizon for that time period. The crew were great, continuously passing out vomit bags and picking them up once used. A lot of guests were vomiting. I had assumed a lot of the tour would be leisurely cruising to spot wildlife, but I was mistaken. Most of the trip was travel time. We stopped briefly three times to check out some puffins and otters on the water (both very cool), as well as some whales in the distance. The longest stop was about 30 minutes to see a glacier up close. The rest of the 6 hrs was traveling. Lunch was good (chicken burrito), although I was surprised by the choice given the level of sea sickness some tours encounter. The warm cookies at the end of the trip were a nice touch by the staff. My advice would be to not book until you can see the weather forecast. There are multiple companies running tours, including a few small group tours.
It was so interesting and informative Captain Steve Martin was excellent! The crew was so service oriented and polite.
