När vi lämnar den livliga staden stannar vi vid Zhinvali Dam, en imponerande konstgjord sjö omgiven av frodiga, böljande kullar. Ta vykortsperfekta bilder och ta in den lugna atmosfären innan vi fortsätter vår bestigning upp i bergen.
Därefter besöker vi Ananuri-fästningen, ett sekelgammalt arkitektoniskt underverk uppe över det turkosa vattnet i Zhinvali-reservoaren. Fördjupa dig i berättelserna om medeltida georgiska adeln när du vandrar genom dess gamla stenmurar
Vägen leder oss sedan till Gudauri, en världsberömd skidort som ståtar med otrolig panoramautsikt året runt. Även utan snö erbjuder Gudauris majestätiska toppar och vidsträckta öppna ytor ett fascinerande skådespel, perfekt för en kort promenad och lite frisk bergsluft.
När vi fortsätter vår resa genom det hisnande Jvaripasset stiger vi upp till en höjd av 2 395 meter, där vyerna sträcker sig bortom vad ord kan fånga. Luften blir tunnare och landskapet förvandlas till något ur en dröm. Längs vägen gör vi ett gripande stopp vid det sovjetiska georgisk-ryska vänskapsmonumentet – ett bevis på regionens komplexa historia. När du står här kommer du att känna vikten av det förflutna och skönheten i nuet, vilket gör detta ögonblick oförglömligt.
Vår resa når sitt klimax vid Heliga Treenighetens kyrka i Gergeti, ett av Georgiens mest vördnadsvärda landmärken. Uppflugen på en höjd av 2 170 meter, står denna heliga plats stolt mot bakgrund av de majestätiska Kazbegi bergen. Härifrån kan du se ner på den pittoreska staden Stephantsminda, en fridfull utsikt som känns som att kliva in i ett levande vykort. Our Kazbegi tour with 11 Regions was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The scenery was breathtaking – from the Ananuri Fortress and Gudauri viewpoints to the incredible Gergeti Trinity Church with Mount Kazbek in the background. Every stop along the route felt like a postcard come to life. The itinerary was perfectly organized, allowing us to enjoy the stunning landscapes, local history, and culture without feeling rushed. The Kazbegi route is considered one of Georgia’s most spectacular day trips, and this tour exceeded all expectations. What made the experience even better was the exceptional service from the team. Giga was incredibly helpful not only during the tour but also with arranging our transfer between Tbilisi and Yerevan. His communication was excellent, he was always responsive, and he made everything completely stress-free. Givi was also highly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful throughout our travels. Both of them went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. If you are looking for a private, well-organized, and memorable experience in Georgia, I can wholeheartedly recommend 11 Regions. Every aspect of our trip was handled with care and professionalism, and we left with amazing memories of both the beautiful Caucasus Mountains and the wonderful people who helped make our journey so special.
I went on a holiday to Georgia and had an amazing experience, thanks to the guidance of two wonderful friends, Alex and Giga. They took us to so many memorable places and made the entire trip enjoyable and affordable. Their kindness, hospitality, and knowledge truly made our vacation special. I loved it! We had a car trip to the famous landmarks and huge mountains. The landscape was amazing, the sites were beautiful. The only problem was with the road block, which can happen due to large number of truck traffic on this serpentine road.
I was contacted on WhatsApp the same day that I booked the trip to talk about my request for some of the group to hike up to the church, and for some of the group to go in a vehicle. The guide offered a good solution which was agreed. Pick up/drop off on the day was straightforward. The day was great - we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He drove carefully on the difficult road, and suggested a good stop for food. Accommodating the split request of our group was fantastic. We would highly recommend this trip.

I fully enjoyed my day trip out of Tbilisi to Kazbegi. No way would I have wanted to drive myself on the mountain roads. Giga was great company as a solo traveler. The scenery along the way was top-notch with the highlight being Gergeti Trinity Church but the other stop were nice too to space out time in the car. I do recommend having lunch at the Rooms hotel. Meal was excellent as well as the view of the church from afar. I did three tours with 11 regions and Giga and would recommend them all.

Excellent experience despite being a boutique-sized agency, Giga proved incredibly reliable and efficient.
