Besök de vackra naturlandskapen i de stora kaukasiska bergen på den så kallade georgiska militärvägen till Ryssland. Under turen besöker du 1600-talsbyggnaden, fästningen Ananuri, Jinvali Dam, Gudauris vänskapsmonument och Gergeti Trinity Church i byn Kazbegi/Stepantsminda. Resan från Tbilisi till Kazbegi kan ta från 3 till 5 timmar med flera stopp på olika platser för fotografering eller bara för att gå, vila eller koppla av på Jinvali-sjön, Aragvi-floden, Gudauri-bergen eller andra platser du skulle vilja se eller ta foton. Under turnén kan du äta lunch eller middag på en lokal georgisk familjerestaurang. Avgifter för restaurangen, uthyrning av häst och lokal jeep ingår inte i turens pris. Observera att vägen från Gudauri till Kazbegi ibland är stängd på vintern på grund av kraftig snö. Så det kan vara omöjligt att besöka byn Kazbegi turer dag.

Vårt första stopp kommer att vara vid Jinval Dam för fotografering. Jinvali Dam skapades på 1970-talet på sovjetisk tid för vattenkraftsfattigdom. Namnet på dammen kommer från staden som låg precis före dammen. Nu är denna stad under vatten och turisterna kallar den också undervattensstad. Det var en gammal, antik tid vacker stad med full av arkeologiska platser och artefakter som nu är under vatten. Lokalbefolkningen fick husen att bo inte långt från dammen. Nivån på dammen stiger på sommaren under regnperioden och minskar på vintern under torrperioden. Endast en fästning bevarad från denna stad eftersom den ligger på en högre plats, på kullen. Vårt nästa stopp blir Ananuris fästning.
Ananuri Fortress är en medeltida fästning från 1200-talet. Den byggdes för att skydda staden Jincali från fiender och stänga vägarna till bergen. Den har höga murar och torn för strid och ett bostadstorn. Det finns också en kyrka i fästningen på namnet Saint-George. Saint-George var beskyddare av georgiska arméer, fästningar och städer.
I Gudauri stannar vi för fotografering vid Gudauri vänskapsmonumentet. Det är faktiskt bredvid Gudauri. Gudauris vänskapsmonument, även kallat Panoramamonumentet, byggdes 1083 sovjetisk tid för att memorera 200 år gammal vänskap mellan georgiska och ryska folk. Georgiens och Rysslands historia är målad på väggen. För 200 år sedan slöts ett vänskaps- och samarbetsavtal mellan georgiska och ryska kungar, de kallar också protektorskapsavtal, men efter att den senaste georgiska kungen dog, avskaffade ryssarna kungadömet i Georgien och ryska guvernörer styrde Georgien fram till ryska socialistiska revolutioner, tills kommunisterna kom till makten. Så detta monument memorerar 200 års förhållande mellan Georgien och Ryssland, gjort i sovjetisk propagandastil.
När vi väl anländer till byn Stepantsminda kan turister välja om de vill vandra till Gergeti Trinity Church eller hyra en lokal jeep för att nå kyrkan på Gergetis kulle. Gergeti kyrka byggdes på 1300-talet, renässanstiden. Egentligen var det en period då mongolerna ockuperade Tbilisis huvudstad och folk sprang till bergen för att fly. Den här gången byggde Georgian kyrkorna i bergen. Det finns en fantastisk utsikt från Gergeti-kyrkan till byn Stepantsminda och berget Kazbegi. Observera att vi behöver en lokal Jeep på våren när det är snö i bergen. På vintern är vägen ibland stängd för alla bilar på grund av snö. Avgiften för att hyra en jeep ingår inte i Tours-priset. På sommaren och automn behöver du inte hyra en jeep, eftersom vägarna är rena från snö och vägen är öppen för alla bilar.

We decided to do a day tour to easter Georgia - Anauri and Gadauri because we wanted to suprise our step son's girlfriend with a marriage proposal. I have to say that none of this would have been possible without George our guide. He helped us with everything and even became our photographer. He became part of the family. We just got back from an incredible trip to Georgia But as my children say Georgia was incredible but George was even greater. From the minute we landed until after we landed back home (when he checked in to make sure we arrived safely) he was so kind to us- he actually became part of the family he is so kind sensitive nice and insightful our trip was the most amazing ever all in his credit! His knowledge of the country with his wisdom to figure us out and understand what the needs and likes of our family and create and change the itinerary to make sure all of us are having the best time was so special we had some personnel special needs which he took care, watched our baby (who didn't want to leave him) took photos for us were ever we went and kept us entertained for all the hour we were in the car George is one of the nicest people i have met and highly recommend anyone that is thinking about going to Georgia to hire him We cant wait to come again

Tour of Tbilisi was special to us personally. Thanks to George that he made the tour memorable for us. The tour was well planned that we covered the best of 4 days visiting Tbilisi City, Jvari Monastery, Gudauri, Mtskheta, Gori, Uplistikhe. It was an awesome 3 full-day trip outside Tbilisi with friends and the helpful guide, George. He is well informed about his country may it be religion, history etc but just do not ask him about flowers. Lol. He would also go beyond his duty as a tour guide by physically assisting you while going up or down or just crossing. We were a group of 5 women and he helped us all. And for that, I highly recommend him, if you are looking for a knowledgeable tourist guide. He also speaks english well, hospitable and recommends great places. Thank you, George. Started with the cableway to view from top old historical places, walk high staircases to get on top to view the waterfall. View the bridge from lovers which lock their locks and throw the keys in the river. To seal their Love for each other. Tasted blue warm wine. Bought lots of little Georgian fridge magnets, keyrings at the little kiosks....

<p>The couple that took us on this tour were lovely and very informative. We could stop wherever we wanted to stop. It was a 12 hour round trip but well worth especially the 4 wheel drive up the mountain to see Kazbegi monastery. They were a couple to travel with.</p>
