Helgedomen i Olympia sträcker sig över ett förtrollande landskap som ligger vid Kronius Hills fötter. Detta gjorde det till ett idealiskt läge för de olympiska spelen som hölls vart fjärde år för att hedra Zeus. När du är där, kommer du att besöka templet Zeus som inrymde en av världens sju underverk och templet i Hera där den olympiska facklan tänds. Det arkeologiska museet visar världskända verk av antik konst och utställningar från den klassiska perioden, de berömda pedimenten från Zeus tempel, Nike av Paionios och Hermes of Praxiteles.
Bara ett andetag från museet och ruinerna i Olympia kan du träffa Klio och hennes mamma på gården. Agriturismo Magna Grecia har skapats 2009 av Dimitri Karabelas och Franca Magrini. Besökare i det antika Olympia har nu möjlighet att uppleva de grekiska landets äkta smaker som smaka extra olivolja, oliver och viner som familjen producerar. Deras mål är att se till att gästerna på Magna Grecia upplever unika stunder när de besöker deras apotek.
Saint Andrew stranden ligger mycket nära Katakolon hamnen, den ligger bakom Katakolons kulle och det är bara 4 km bort. Stranden med tjock sand och stenar under sommaren är full av liv. Den har en magnifik utsikt över havet. Det finns också ett café och en traditionell restaurang där någon kan njuta av kaffe eller mat.

My family of six spent the day with Dora, visiting the archaeological site of Olympia and the museum, the honey farm and olive factory. We had the best day with Dora. She is an excellent tour guide. I am very particular with tours and Dora was absolutely perfect. She was informative and clear with her instructions, a great driver and great company. She arranged a wonderful tour guide for us at the archaeological site of Olympia and at the museum. She made sure everything ran smoothly and effortlessly. The whole event was lovely and stress-free. My entire family, including for teenage/young adult children loved the tour. My daughter forgot to get a picture that she wanted from the honey farm and Dora took it and sent it to us the next time she was there She went above and beyond for us in every way. I truly cannot recommend Dora and this tour company highly enough. Everything was amazing.

We did the 7 hour Katakolon / Olympia tour in July 2026. It was very hot! But we had a great day! Everything was seamless with Dora and we appreciated her nice air conditioned Mercedes van. From the archaeological site and lovely museum, to the honey farm, an olive oil tasting, lunch and the beach, we had a wonderful time.

Dora was fantastic to work with as I was planning a large group with 17 people. She was very accommodating when our cruise ship changed the times we were in port. Fantastic experience. Joanna was our tour leader, and she accommodated our every request across all of the different events, even getting us a personal guide at the last moment for Olympia. We had less time than we expected, so we didn't get to do all of the events, but Joanna worked with us to ensure we did all the things we wanted and spent the time we had on what we preferred. We spent a great day with Dora learning about the Katakolon area. Everything was easy about the pickup and activities. We really enjoyed the honey farm and Olympic ruins.
