Resplan

Great sites to visit and a nice but sleepy driver, but he was NOT A TOUR GUIDE. He did not know a lot about the roads and history along the way. He simply drove us to the site, you got out for 10-15 minutes and then back in. Very disappointing, I was paying for a tour not just a driver. Also a nice guy but the in the last hour of the drive back I noticed him falling asleep while driving. He had the cruise control on and his eyes were closing. I noticed and immediately started making him talk, doing anything to keep him awake, se we could get back to Sydney. I imagine the trip was boring for him also. A nice part was they picked you up at your hotel and he dropped us off a Circular Quay.
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. While we’re glad you enjoyed the sites visited and the convenience of hotel pick-up and drop-off, we sincerely regret that the service felt more like a transfer than a guided tour. We understand that when booking a tour, informative commentary and local insights are an important part of the experience, and we clearly fell short in this area. Your feedback regarding the driver’s alertness is taken extremely seriously. Passenger safety is our top priority, and we are very concerned to hear this. This matter has been escalated internally, and we are reviewing the incident thoroughly to ensure strict compliance with our safety and driver-rest policies. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it helps us improve our services and training standards. Please accept our sincere apologies for the disappointment caused, and thank you again for your honest feedback.
Amazing experience provided by King of Tours, I went with my family and we enjoyed alot of places like seacliff bridge, Kiama Blowhole, Baldhill Lookout and jervisbay with whale watching. Highly recommended.
Much Appreciated your review.
Admittedly, the weather didn’t help; neither did the fact that our excellent tour the previous day had been conducted by a particularly knowledgeable and informative driver/guide with excellent people skills. This tour could not have been more different. Our driver was certainly not an “expert guide (who would) share insider knowledge, making this journey not just a sightseeing tour, but an immersive experience that connects (us) with the natural beauty and hidden gems of New South Wales”! He was very quietly spoken, such that I could hear nothing he said whilst driving, despite sitting in the second row of the minibus. Not that he said very much: indeed, he offered virtually no information regarding the areas through which we were travelling or the sights we were passing, other than in response to direct questions. Neither the promised “coffee and/or tea” nor “WiFi on board” materialised although, when the latter was pointed out to our driver, he did enable a “hotspot” on his cellphone, which allowed me to access Google Maps to see where we were. The tour was conducted in a different order to that described at the operator’s website, our first stops being Bald Hill Lookout and Sea Cliff Bridge, thence to Kiarna Blowhole and Hyam’s Beach on Jervis Bay. This was unfortunate, as sea fog and a low overcast greatly restricted visibility until Kiarna, by which point the sea fog had cleared, although the low overcast was to persist for the remainder of the trip. We realise, of course, that neither the tour operator nor our driver can be held responsible for the weather, but one can only wonder whether, had the advertised route been followed, the forecast sea fog might have been avoided. At the Hyam’s Beach stop, our driver enquired as to our lunch plans: not knowing the area, we were rather expecting him to suggest to us where we might eat! He then suggested the rather unattractive town of Nowra, through which we had passed earlier, but I enquired whether Jervis Bay Village might be more agreeable. He appeared to concur, but it soon became apparent that we were heading in the opposite direction, towards Nowra; on pointing this out, he claimed to be taking a shortcut, which seemed unlikely in view of our direction of travel. We eventually ended up travelling to Husskison for our lunch stop. No mention was made of any “optional dolphin-watching cruise”. We than headed inland, with a brief stop at Hampden Bridge. As we climbed towards Kangaroo Valley, we soon entered cloud and did not re-emerge until well beyond Glenquarry, so we saw very little of the Valley. From this point, the return journey to Sydney proceeded largely in silence. To say that our day had been a massive disappointment would be something of an understatement. The only positive thing that could be said about this tour was than we had been picked up at our hotel rather than at Circular Quay. Avoid!
Dear David, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. We always strive to provide an engaging and informative journey, and we regret that this was not reflected in your tour. Regarding the guide’s commentary, we appreciate your input and will ensure that our team is reminded of the importance of clear and engaging communication. We also acknowledge the concern about the promised inclusions, and we sincerely apologize if there was any oversight. We will review this internally to prevent such issues in the future. Weather conditions can sometimes impact the experience, and while we do our best to optimize the itinerary to provide the best possible views, we understand that this may not always align perfectly with expectations. This tour was not what was advertised. Pro: - private tour - picked up at hotel instead of other site - changed itinerary during trip to go to Featherdale Wildlife park per our request since we were not happy Con Advertised but not true: Expert Guide - not offered, only a driver and he did not talk (example at first stop dropped us off we had to ask where to go) Tea/coffee- not offered Wifi on board - not offered Bottled water - not offered Took us to waterfall instead of Kangaroo valley and stroll through village. Had to request to go to Hampden bridge and driver was unaware although listed in tour stops. FYI - we contacted tour operator prior to tour through viator but did not get a response until we contacted viator directly
