Issyk - är en himmelsblå sjö på 1,5 timmes bilfärd från Almaty. Omgiven av magnifika bergslandskap är denna plats en perfekt plats att besöka på en ledig dag. Den mysiga atmosfären här får dig att känna dig avslappnad och njuta av naturen. Du kan ta en båttur på sjön, ta en trevlig promenad runt eller ställa in en picknick i en av takstolarna. Du kommer också att ha en chans att besöka en viktig plats för Kazakstans historia och arkeologiska värld överlag - The Golden Man Issyk museum. Detta arkeologiska komplex är känt för fyndet av en gyllene man - skytisk krigare klädd i en massiv guldrustning (6-5 århundrade f.Kr.) Det finns ett trevligt öringfarmskafé på vägen där vi kan stanna för en utomhuslunch.

It was a great trip and highly recommended . Our tour guide Mr. Nursultan was very helpful and informative and has shared us a lot of information and insight about all the places we went and also regarding the local culture and practices. He helped us to make the trip more intresting. Overall it was a very good journey.
Our tour guide, Ruslun and his father were excellent. They gave great background information on the sights and were very accommodating. It was a bit rainy the day of our tour and they came prepared with rain jackets and umbrellas as well. They were very professional.

Great day tour from Amalty for an introduction to Kazakhstan's natural beauty, whether you are only in Amalty for short time, or at start of a longer exploration of the country, as was my case. Great, young but knowledgeable and fluent English speaking guide!
Just stunning. There are no words to describe how beautiful this lake is. Apparently late autumn is one of the best times to see it - the autumn colours of yellow and red set against the emerald blue of the lake water. Please note for those who are have difficulty with mobility it can be difficult to access the lake. We were able to take a taxi to the lake but there are about 50-60 steps to the lakeside. Even with 2 of us helping my elderly companion did struggle (although we did manage it).
