Vår Island Discovery Tour är en komplett visselstoppsupplevelse av Isle of Man. Resa längs några av de världsberömda TT kurs, kommer vi att besöka berömda landmärken från norra till södra delen av ön, med gott om stopp för förfriskningar / möjligheter att köpa souvenirer. Varje tur kan skräddarsys för att passa din takt, preferenser och individuella behov, inklusive att besöka platser som är rullstolsanpassade om det behövs. Tveka inte att höra av dig och diskutera dina specifika behov med oss. Turtider möjliggör resor mellan intressanta platser och förfriskningar stopp. Entré till kulturarvsplatser i förekommande fall ingår.

Med början vid Laxey Wheel upptäcker vi hur Laxey utvecklades från en obetydlig sömnig fiskeby till centrum av ett lukrativt gruvsamhälle med Lady Isabela, det största överlevande vattenhjulet i världen, som står som ett djärvt uttalande som vänder sig för att hålla gruvorna fria från vatten. Vi beger oss sedan ner till den vackra sandstranden som passerar Laxey Woolen Mills innan vi beger oss till nästa stopp.
Vi beger oss till Maughold, beläget i ett fantastiskt naturskönt område, vi kan utforska en unik blandning av keltiskt och vikingatiskt arv när vi ser några anmärkningsvärda exempel på snidade stenkors och utforskar resterna av det första klostret på ön som går tillbaka till 6:e århundradet.
När vi stannar i Ramsey ser vi en livlig arbetshamn och en viktoriansk svängbro; vi kommer också att möta milsvida sandstränder och vikar som nu är ett skyddat marint naturreservat.
På väg mot västra delen av ön vågar vi oss till Peel med sin fantastiska bakgrund av det gamla slottet, fiskehamnen och sandviken. Vi kan vandra genom de pittoreska gatorna med sina små fiskestugor eller runt slottet och hålla utkik efter atlantgråsälarna eller våra bofasta flasknosdelfiner, Moonlight och Starlight. Möjlighet om så önskas att köpa lokala gåvor på House of Manannan och se kopior av ett vikingaskepp, runt och långhus.
På väg mot mitten av ön ser vi Tynwald Hill. Tynwald tros ha inrättats av nordiska vikingabosättare för över tusen år sedan, vilket gör det till det äldsta sammanhängande parlamentet i världen. Kullen är nu ett av öns mest ikoniska landmärken som symboliserar Isle of Mans självständighet som ett självstyrande kronoberoende. Det finns en mängd historia att utforska i detta område, inklusive det kungliga kapellet, en jättegrav och Ballaharra neolitiska stenar.
När vi beger oss till öns södra spets kommer vi att upptäcka Öresund som har utsikt över en av de farligaste vattensektionerna som sträcker sig till Calf of Man, nu ett naturreservat med ett rikt djurliv. Även möjlighet till förfriskningar.
Cregneash, med utsikt över Manx-kalven, var ett av de sista fästena för Manx-språket. När vi vandrar bland de traditionella halmtäckta Manx-stugorna, som innehåller ett levande folkmuseum, finns det en chans att se två av våra favoritdjur i Manx, en katt utan svans och Loaghtan Sheep.
Slutligen besöker vi Castletown, öns gamla huvudstad som är lindad runt vad som sägs vara det bäst bevarade medeltida slottet i Europa. Det finns gott om pittoreska vägar med havsnära fiskestugor att beundra när vi tar in havsluften tittar på vackra vyer över till Langness med tid att utforska slottet också om så önskas. Turtiderna möjliggör resor mellan intressanta platser och förfriskningar.
På väg tillbaka till Douglas passerar vi över den traditionella älvbron, där lokalbefolkningen tills säger hej till älvorna.

Our family of four including two teenagers spent a wonderful day exploring the Isle of Man with Louise. She showed us so many amazing sights and kept our kids engaged the entire time. We booked Louise to take us and our two children (age 7 and 10) on an island tour and we had a fantastic day. The tour was tailored to keep the children entertained whilst giving us a great overview of the island - we were able to visit a beach, see Celtic crosses, castles, Viking ruins and even spot some seals. Louise was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the island, whether our questions were about Victorian miners or how household waste is dealt with on the island, she knew the answer. Our tours was incredibly enjoyable and has set us up for the rest of our trip - highly recommended!

I can highly recommend this tour with Louise. Had a great day learning all the history & seeing all of this beautiful country.
