Inspirational Women of Liverpool's Past & Present-vandringstur är en del av Liverpool Famous Walking Tours-serien i begränsad upplaga. Här kommer du att se ett av de slutliga verken av en av de mest kända kvinnliga skulpturerna i modern tid. Du kommer att ha en rundtur i Lady Chapel och med sina berömda målade glasfönster kommer detta att skapa scenen för att lära dig om några fantastiska kvinnor, avbildade i fönstren som har haft ett långvarigt inflytande på Liverpools historia och utveckling. Entré till katedralen genom donation ingår i biljettpriset.
Med några kända alumner får du höra om den viktiga roll som denna kulturminnesmärkta byggnad har spelat i utbildningen av flickor och kvinnor.
Ofta kallad "Harley Street of the North" kommer du att höra om några av Rodney Streets berömda kvinnliga invånare.
Med sin historia som Hope Hall kommer du att lära dig om den bohemiska miljön och den politiska kanten på denna webbplats och kopplingarna till de banbrytande rörelserna inklusive suffragetterna.
Med en lång koppling till medicin kommer du att få höra om flera kvinnor från Liverpool och de utmaningar de övervann för att kunna påverka utvecklingen av medicin, utbildning och hälsotjänster vid förra sekelskiftet.
Berömd att ge namnet till "Red Brick" universitet, och med många kända kvinnliga alumner, kommer du att höra om flera banbrytande kvinnor, inklusive en stor Filantrop som framgångsrikt kampanjade för kvinnors rättigheter och familjesocialt i början av 1900-talet
När du besöker Liverpools katolska katedral kommer du att lära dig om denna webbplatss historia och dess kopplingar till näktergalens sjuksköterskor. Du kommer också att lära dig om inte bara den tragiska historien, utan också det otroliga arbetet av en av de ledande reformatorerna av lagstiftning som stödjer kvinnor och familjer på 1800-talet.
Med sitt ökända rykte från 1800-talet kommer du att lära dig om en dam som är känd i flera kända Liverpool-låtar.
När du passerar platsen för många anmärkningsvärda kvinnors sociala och politiska fackliga möten i början av 1900-talet kommer du till Walker Art Gallery. Här kommer du att lära dig om några av de fascinerande kvinnorna, inklusive de som fortfarande visas, som har bidragit till att göra detta offentligt ägda konstgalleri till Nordens nationella galleri.
Turnén kommer att sluta i skuggan av klass I listade St George's Hall där du kommer att berätta om dess plats i suffragiströrelsens historia och den spännande roll som denna fantastiska nyklassicistiska byggnad har haft i modern matlagning!

Pam was an excellent guide - full of knowledge, interest and enthusiasm. The timings were really good which must be very hard to achieve. I felt very welcome and the informal atmosphere meant it was easy to ask questions or make comments. It was truly inspirational and I felt very moved and humbled by what these pioneering and courageous women did to improve the lot of others in many different ways. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

After friends of ours did this tour, they asked the wonderful Pam to come to our church and deliver it (minus the walking)! A fascinating and illuminating tour of the sites related to so many courageous women, and their supporters, who left their mark on society, and all our present lives, despite the immense barriers of their time. Pam’s knowledge and easy and engaging style brought this to life - crucial in today’s age to be reminded how relatively recently this progress has been made.

An interesting and educational tour delivered by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. So many thought provoking stories. Highly recommended. Think there needs to be a TV documentary highlighting the trials and good deeds of women in the past that affect all of us now.
