Himejis slotts historia sträcker sig från 1300-talets ursprung som fort till 1600-talets uppförande av dagens struktur av Ikeda Terumasa. Det är känt som White Heron Castle och överlevde århundraden av förändring, inklusive slutet på feodalismen och även andra världskrigets bombningar. Slottet, som är en viktig symbol för Japansk slottsarkitektur, utsågs till UNESCO:s världsarv 1993 och har genomgått flera stora restaureringsprojekt för att bevara sina ikoniska vita putsväggar och intrikata trästrukturer.
EN, Himeji Castle Nishi Oyashiki Ato Garden, är 3,5 hektar stor och 8,5 hektar stor öppnades 29 april 1992 för att fira 100-årsjubileet av Himejis kommun. Det är en ny kulturplats som inte bara ska tjäna till historiskt och kulturellt bevarande, utan också komplettera UNESCO:s världsarv HIMEJI SLOTT
Arima Onsen har en historia som Japans äldsta varma källa, med legender som tillskriver upptäckten till mytologiska figurer och tidiga dokument från 600-talet som nämner kejsar Jomeis besök. Under århundraden besöktes den av kejsare och samurajer, en utveckling som förstärktes av munken Gyoki från Naraperioden som byggde Onsen-ji-templet och munken Ninsai från Kamakuraperioden som etablerade logi.
Mt Shosha, på en höjd av 371 meter, ligger nordväst om Himeji City. Den första linbanan byggdes 1958. Denna linbana använde 2 linbanor, vid namn Soyokaze och Sachikaze, som kunde rymma 30 passagerare vardera. 1992 byggdes linbanan ut och trafikeras för närvarande med 2 linbanor som kan ta högst 60 passagerare vardera.
Kobe Port Tower är en 108 meter högt landmärke i Kobe, Japan, känt för sin unika röda, timglasformade rörstruktur. Efter en flerårig renovering öppnade den igen den 26 april 2024, med nya och uppdaterade attraktioner

Your in Japan so lots of walking. The castle was absolutely beautiful. But not for those with any type of issue with walking. You climb up to the castle via uneven ground. Once inside, several levels of stairs that are very steep. Then you decend steeper stairs. Worth it but definitely not for those that experience difficulties. The ropeway was closed for the day due to high winds I believe. So we did the Kobe Port Tower which has lovely views but not completely an equal trade. Kareem was very pleasant.

It was relaxed and at our own pace. Our guide, Arslan, took great care of us. He showed us all the sights and even a few off the usual path.

Ali was very nice but ultimately he was a driver, not a tour guide as we had expected. His English was limited and though nice he was very shy and did not talk much or tell us barely anything about the locations. We had thought that a “luxury” tour with a “personal guide” would include someone who could come along with us at each stop (or at least the castle) and give us a rich background on the location and history, but the only service provided was transportation. There was also an issue/miscommunication where the tour company messaged me the night before saying there was a “glitch” with Viator and that the tickets/admission fees were actually NOT included, even though it stated clearly in the description that they were. After some back and forth we got them to correct their mistake but it did sour the experience a bit. Even with the admission being paid for, $675 for transportation and admission feels like a rip-off honestly. I would not do it again.
Our driver Hamza was polite, punctual, respectful and knowledgable. Our private car was spacious for our family. We got picked up and had a very comfortable day exploring the various stops on our tour. Hamza also made some good restaurant recommendations for us for lunch. Overall, very relaxing and productive day spent in Kobe, Himeji Castle and the cable car ride with beautiful views from the mountain and temple. Highly recommend!
