Du kommer att bli upphämtad från ditt hotell i Medan cirka 07.00 för att börja din bilresa längs den fascinerande vägen genom djungeln till bergsbyn Brastagi i Karo Highlands, denna resa kommer att ta cirka 2 timmar i bilen. Första stoppet är berastagi Fruktmarknaden .Brastagi har vulkanisk fruktbar jord som är idealisk för odling av frukter som passionsfrukt, mangistan, Solanum Betaceum, apelsiner och en mängd olika blommor.
En kopia av shwedagon-pagoden som ligger i Myanmar finns redan i Indonesien i form av en kopia av pagoden i Lumbini Nature Park. Denna lumbinipark byggdes för första gången 2007, fram till 2010. Den når 46,8 meter hög, 68 meter lång, eter och 68 meter bred. I Lumbini Park finns också den högsta pagoden i Indonesien och även den näst högsta i Sydostasien. För ett område på cirka 3 hektar som består av en trädgård och det finns också denna pagod.
Du kan också se utsikten över sjön Toba från denna plats, fånga dina ögonblick på denna vattenfallsvy. Sipiso-piso är ett vattenfall i Batak-höglandet på Sumatra, Indonesien. Den bildas av en liten underjordisk flod på Karo-platån som faller från en grotta vid sidan av calderan av sjön Toba, cirka 120 meter ner till sjönivån.
Därefter kör vi till det traditionella huset i Batak Karo Land. av Dokan där människor fortfarande bor. I dessa traditionella hus, som heter Djambur, bor 8 familjer i ett hus. Nötkreatur, grisar och vattenbufflar bor nedanför huset. Du kan besöka ett hus och se deras sätt att leva.

every time i come in planning to try something new i end up getting the mango ice cream. it's that good. fresh, bright, not too sweet. the stone mixing folds in whatever you add without making a mess of it
We shared a meal with friends on the occasion of a birthday.This place is cozy, cozy and exudes comfort. The menu is succinct a fish and a meat few dessert choices either which suggests fresh cuisine. Main course menu , dessert: 49 Euros . The waiter points out that if you only take one dish it will cost you 30 Euros. It is clear that the staff is asked to help the customer order the whole menu. Bar biscuit accompanied by shells and small vegetables in very good brunoise , pea can , the accompanying sauces were excellent as well as desserts , coffee served with delicious sweets . Nothing wrong perfect setting with views of the Garonne a feast for the eyes.
I especially enjoyed the Batak home tour. The tour guide and the driver were fun to talk with. Ma, Jua jua!

It was a group of 25 friends. We landed in Medan on a tuesday morning. We visited the oldest church , then checked into our hotel. In d evening we went to the oldest hindhu temple in Medan. The next day, we left the city to go to Lake Toba. The view of the lake as we scaled the hills was so breathtaking. Then we started to descend to come alongside the lake. It is the largest, natural fresh water lake in Sumatra. After lunch we took a boat to an island in the middle of the lake. There we were given an insight into the tribal lifestyle of its inhabitants. Another 45 minute back over the lake and a bus ride up to our hotel was indeed remarkable and unforgettable.

Views of danau toba and sipiso waterfall were amazing. And the hilly countryside driving journey with glimpses of the highlands living environment and culture, vegetation, farms, animals, people, abodes, a thousand private graveyards, a million church buildings, cool weather with light drizzle together with the explanations by Bambang (guide) and Ravee (driver) made the experience magical.

Eco is a good guide but not much into exercise. When I opted to walk down to the pool at the bottom of Sipiso Piso Waterfall, he stayed in the parking area. His explanations of the geography, history and eruptions creating Lake Toba were very interesting, and his knowledge of anthopology and history of the peoples on Sumatra is impressive. Great way to see outside of Medan in a day. Getting out of Medan was good and the scenery is wonderful. Guide and driver were excellent.
