Strax efter hämtningen kommer vi att köra längs M5 och ansluta till M4 via Muizenberg, St. James och Fish Hoek stränderna längs den natursköna False Bay-kusten på väg till Boulders Beach Penguins Colony.
När vi passerar genom Muizenbergstranden ser vi sträckan av attraktiva färgglada strandstugor i fjärran. Strandstugorna liknar 1800-talets "badmaskiner" - en vagnliknande struktur som rullades ner till vattnet, vilket gör att kvinnorna kan ändra sig till hak-till-fotled badkläder och hylla i grunt vatten. Strandstugorna används därefter som omklädningsrum för både solbadare och intresserade surfare.
Liksom deras motsvarigheter, används också strandhytterna som kan ses här på St. James Beach av solbadare som omklädningsrum. Din reseguide stannar här några minuter för att möjliggöra några roliga foton med dessa färgglada strandstugor innan vi fortsätter till Boulders Beach Penguins-kolonin.
Vi kör förbi Kalk Bay Harbour som är mer som en fiskeby, med fiskebåtarna dockning och fiskhandlare berömmer sin fångst. Färsk fisk är tillgänglig för puchase här dagligen. Sevärdheterna, luktarna och uppfriskande havsluften är inget mindre än spektakulära.
Vi passerar genom Fish Hoek-stranden. Det är möjligt att känna det varma vattnet i Indiska havet som rinner ut i False Bay-området, vilket gör Fish Hoek till en föredragen strand för bad och solbad på långa sträckor av varm vit sand.
Vi stannar vid Boulders Beach för att besöka den afrikanska pingvinkolonin. Boulders Beach är en av de bästa stränderna i Kapstaden, särskilt för bad och solbad. Det är möjligt att ha nära möten med de afrikanska pingvinerna medan du simmar och solar på Boulders Beach, men det är inte garanterat. Därför tar vi en promenad längs strandpromenaden till den officiella platsen för pingvinkolonin för att se pingvinerna i deras naturliga livsmiljö. Boulders pingvinkoloni är hem för ungefär 3000 afrikanska pingviner som tillbringar sina dagar med att slingra sig i False Bay-vattnet, sola sig och parade på granitblocken.
Efter vårt möte med de charmiga afrikanska pingvinerna fortsätter vi till det som säkert är dagens höjdpunkt: Cape of the Good Hope och Cape Point Nature Reserve. Det tros att inget besök i Kapstaden är komplett utan ett foto bakom namnet på Cape of Good Hope. Vi utforskar naturreservatet medan reseguiden delar historiska berättelser om Bartholomew Dias och Vasco Da Gama-fyrvärden. Cape of the Good Hope är hem för många en fauna och flora som fynbos (fin buske), över 250 fåglarter inklusive strutsar, buck, babianer och Cape bergsebraen. Vi råder våra gäster att vänligen vara vaksamma och inte komma för nära de vilda djuren i reservatet eftersom de kan bli våldsamma. Ingen nära kontakt eller utfodring är tillåten.
Efter att ha utforskat Godahoppsudden kommer vi att köra till Cape Point där besökare är fria att ta en kort vandring upp till Cape Point fyr eller ta alternativet Flying Dutchman Funicular (extra avgift på egen räkning). Många tror att Cape Point är mötesplatsen för de två haven. Men Cape Point är i själva verket den officiella mötesplatsen för de två havsströmmarna: den kalla Benguela och de varma havsströmmarna Agulhas. Cape Point-fyren är den mest kraftfulla på den sydafrikanska kusten.
Förutsatt att den är i drift, tar vi en biltur genom Chapmans Peak Drive, som är en av de mest natursköna vägarna i världen. Vi stannar några minuter vid utsiktsplatsen för att ta några bilder.
Vid vår ankomst tillbaka till Kapstaden kommer besökare att lämnas vid samma upphämtningsställe där de hämtades på morgonen.

This was a great day trip. We saw penguins, Cape of Good Hope, took a quick hike, baboons and ostriches. The drive was beautiful. Our guide Ray was great too!
