Vi är den enda cykelturen på Maui som drivs av USA Cycling Coaches & BICP Certified Bike Instructors. Vi har 3 fullservice cykelaffärer på ön med expertmekaniker som trimmar cyklar dagligen. Denna cykeltur är en av de mest populära aktiviteterna att göra på Maui med gäster som återvänder årligen. Vår tur van går upp samma rutt du cyklar ner och pekar ut den lokala historien, sevärdheter och förslag på platser att besöka. Ride börjar på 6 500 fot precis utanför nationalparken där alla cykelförare på Maui startar. Du har friheten att stanna i din komfortzon och stanna längs vägen för att njuta av skönheten i den övre Haleakala nationalpark. Den nedre delen av ritten börjar i Makawao. Uppställningsområdet för vår Maui cykeltur är på 6 500 fot – där alla cykeloperatörer på Maui börjar sina turer. Ryttare får njuta av en självstyrd åkupplevelse från 6 500 fot uppför Haleakala-vulkanen på de övre växlarna.
På din Haleakala cykeltur kommer du att få se natursköna Kula Community i vår skåpbilsbuss. Beläget på cirka 3 200 fot på Haleakalas västra sluttningar är detta ett vackert område.
Nästa del av nedförsbacken börjar med att gå in i en liten stad som bär på traditionerna från paniololivet (hawaiiansk cowboy). I hjärtat av Paniolo Country ligger den historiska staden Makawao. Denna pittoreska stad som ligger på sluttningarna av Haleakala är rik på paniolo-arv med rustik charm och är en blomstrande konstgemenskap. Stanna för att äta lunch eller bläddra igenom en av de fascinerande butikerna eller gallerierna som är utspridda i denna charmiga stad. Med vår Haleakala downhill-cykeltur i egen takt, har gästerna större frihet att stanna längs vägen för att äta, shoppa och sightseeing än på en guidad tur.
Avsluta din tur i vår cykelaffär i centrala Paia. Lämna tillbaka din cykel, kolla in vår butik och utforska vår North Shore Beach-stad. Det finns fantastiska ställen att äta på från Paia Fish Market till Mama's Fish House (med reservationer 3-6 månader i förväg.) Paia erbjuder den mest avslappnade, roliga och funky avslappnade shoppingupplevelsen på hela ön. Paia är laddad med allt från konstgallerier, specialbutiker, strandkläder och mer. Det är många besökares favoritstad att besöka på ön eftersom det är avslappnat.

What a fun ride with amazing views along the way. This is our second time doing it with this group. Highly recommend!
I could not believe how amazingly knowledgeable Matthias was with our group and the facts about Hawaii and the islands in general. It enhance the experiencebecause a lot of the time you’re in a van going to the top of the mountain. Also, the bikes are top-notch and the brakes are so effective and they work really well. If you’re nervous about this trip, you might think twice about going because you may just be riding your brakes all the way down the mountain and that might not be fun for you. But either way, choose to do this because the views are absolutely incredible as you can see from my pictures. These guys are so focused on safety that it really is operator error if you have any problems with your downhill trip. The whole thing for me took about an hour, but I stopped for a tequila tasting so that it was around two hours and 15 minutes before I reached the very end of the ride. That also works out too because the lunch after the ride was fantastic. Paia!
Our family of 6 did the downhill ride in its Matisse. We had an amazing time. Lots of history and stories on the way up which we thoroughly enjoyed. Then Matisse made sure we were all outfitted and comfortable for our downhill trip. We absolutely loved the views and the ride. Lunch stop in Makawao was super fun/ we had a great lunch at Freshies and we able to do a little shopping. Thanks for an amazing day.
From the start, we were impressed. Lizzy picked us up outside the port and brought us to the shop where we had time to use the restroom. Kanji equipped us with helmet, gloves, and the correct size bike. The bikes are excellent and perfect for this 14 mile downhill ride where you are using your brakes almost the entire time! The fee was reasonable for the experience. The atmosphere was gorgeous and Kanji provided us with a great amount of relevant present day info and historical information about the island before dropping us off to start the ride. He also gave a thorough safety briefing. The crowd size was perfect and right before we started, he had us introduce ourselves which was actually nice. The length of the tour was the perfect amount of time. I would definitely recommend this tour and would absolutely do it again. I want to add in that every employee was very professional and kind, not just Lizzy and Kanji. This is a great company.
I was really nervous to do this, but decided to go with my husband anyway. It was a lot of fun even though I’m not a great bicyclist. It was tense at times, but certainly worth the effort. I felt like this company was concerned for our safety and were very attentive.
It was a great experience! I was worried about the downhill bike ride speed, but I was able to go at a speed that was comfortable for me. The guide was amazing and made the trip up enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.
It looks a lot more scary going up than it really is coming down! I thought about backing it more than once in the way up because of the inclines and sharp turns. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t have to be a Tour de France cyclist to handle it coming down!
