Tidigt i ravinen stannar vi och ger alla varm kakao bryggd från en naturlig geotermisk källa precis vid flodstranden. I en glaciärravin. På Island. Bara det ögonblicket överraskar varenda gäst. Västglacialfloden rinner genom en av Islands vackraste vulkaniska raviner – mild grad 2 - 2 + forsar, fantastiska basaltväggar och ett klipphopp som väntar på den sista sträckan. Våra guider ringer samtalet och vi hoppar sällan över det. Varje gäst får en hel torrdräkt. Ingen våtdräkt. Ingen fryser, ingen checkar ut tidigt. Hela familjen håller sig varm och närvarande hela vägen igenom. Ingen erfarenhet behövs. 6 år och uppåt.

Forsränning ett av Nordislands mest populära äventyr för familjer, nybörjare och alla som vill ha kul utan extrema forsar. Denna milda men spännande resa blandar klass II + vitvatten, dramatiska vulkaniska kanjonlandskap och varm gästfrihet. Din resa börjar vid vår forsränningsbas i Hafgrímsstaðir, där du möter guider och klär dig i förstklassiga torrdräkter, hjälmar, neoprenskor och handskar. Efter en kort bilresa till floden får du en säkerhetsgenomgång innan du ger dig ut i en 10 km nedförsbacke genom en spektakulär kanjon av basaltklippor och ångande heta källor. Längs vägen kan du njuta av varm kakao bryggd från en naturlig geotermisk källa, och om förhållandena tillåter kan du prova ett lekfullt klipphopp eller ett uppfriskande dopp i isvatten (alltid valfritt). Denna resa är säker, naturskön och oförglömlig. Perfekt för barn från 7 år, förstagångs forsrännare och resenärer som vill uppleva familjevänlig forsränning på Island. Ingen erfarenhet krävs, bara ta med din känsla av äventyr!

Five star for Naina and Saurav and Viking Rafting. What a wonderful experience for young and old, experienced and those new to rafting! Fabulous day and the meal at the end was incredible!
We had two young children in our group who had never been rafting and we were lucky/unlucky enough to unexpectedly hit a larger rapid and 7/9 members of our raft (including Bahlu!) got thrown off. Our guides, Nena and Amit) were wonderful at helping all of us get back on and treated us all very kindly throughout. Overall very lovely and exciting experience, would definitely recommend for some fun and at least in our case, a very exciting adventure!
We had an amazing time! The guides were great, informative and entertaining and we really had a fun time with our boys aged 9 and 12. Our guide Mike did an amazing job guiding us through the river and making us feel safe all the way. And one of the most fun parts were the little mascot Baloo (dog) that joined the ride and jumped between the boats. Best recommendation!
We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was welcoming, and everyone made us feel so well looked after. A special thank you to our guides, Bikram, Sean, Nena and Anthonis who were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more memorable with their enthusiasm and kindness. They truly went above and beyond.
We did the family rafting trip with our 10-year-old daughter, and it turned out to be the perfect adventure. None of us had any prior rafting experience, but we felt completely safe from start to finish thanks to the incredible team. Hari was the most fun and trustworthy guide we could have asked for. Naina was incredibly kind and attentive, and captured the experience with amazing photos we'll treasure. Mike, our other guide, took wonderful care of our daughter and made sure she felt comfortable for the tour. And last but certainly not least, a special thank you to Bhalu for being our emotional support! This was the grand finale of our two-week Iceland adventure and easily the most memorable. Highly recommend!

The BEST ending for our inaugural trip to Iceland!! Our tour group of 35 adventures had a FANTASTIC experience with Viking Rafting this morning. Saurav did an excellent job of being thorough, detailed, and patient as he explained the rules and procedures to ensure a great adventure on the water; he was also funny, too. Holding the attention of a group of 35, including all ages, is no small feat - especially when explaining procedures. He did this in two parts, before getting all of our gear and again when we arrived at the water’s edge for instructions about paddling and staying safe. We were lucky to have had Saurav as our raft guide as well, but EVERYONE we interacted with at Viking Rafting was helpful - even the young lady who assisted with rafting equipment (I really appreciated that she suggested I remove my ring so I wouldn’t lose it while paddling.) Even though our tour operator booked this experience for our group, I would 1000% book with Viking Rafting again as well as recommend them to others! Also, make sure to give Baloo a “good boy!” when he comes to greet you! He’s super fun to have as a companion in your raft!
Amir saved the day! He deserves a beer tonight. Our boat hit a rock and we all went in, quick thinking Amir got us all out with the help of the other amazing crew members.
This was such a fun experience! Harry and Sean were awesome guides and so fun!! I would highly recommend this to anyone young or old!
We had the most amazing trip on the river. Saurav was a fantastic guide. My kids rated this the best thing they did in Iceland. The highlights were the geothermal hot chocolate, free floating down the river, my 9 year old jumping off the cliff into the river and of course Bhalu. I couldn't recommend this trip enough
