Upptäck museet i händerna på en professionell lokal guide med licens av konsthistoria från universitetet i Baskien. Dessa två timmars besök kommer att vara mycket kompletta och trevliga eftersom inte bara ögonblickens utställningar kommer att besöka, det kommer att finnas en rundtur i dess yttre där de bästa perspektiven för sin arkitektur och information om Bilbao-motivet kommer att införas som den plats som väljs för dess konstruktion. Inuti byggnaden kommer vi att besöka de permanenta och tillfälliga samlingarna där de får tillgång till olika platser för att kunna uppskatta dess inre bild från alla perspektiv. Eftersom det är omöjligt att kunna besöka hela museet i sin helhet, kommer du i slutet av turnén att ledas att fritt turnera resten, eftersom ingången gör att du kan besöka museet igen under samma dag.

Vi börjar turnera museets utsida och interiör, göra en kort introduktion om ursprunget till Bilbao och hur valdes staden för att hysa det sista stora museet på 1900-talet. Vi kommer att prata om dess arkitektur och dess arkitekt Frank Ghery i dess spektakulära atrium, därifrån kommer vi att se dess yttre prata om skulpturerna och att de är en del av dess omgivningar. Då får vi se de tillfälliga utställningarna som ställs ut, fördjupa verken, deras författare, deras konstnärliga tendenser och aspekter som kan vara intressanta för att bättre förstå utställningarna. Syftet med upplevelsen är att närma sig konstvärlden, särskilt samtida konst, och försöka att inte vara okänd för oss.

The visit covers not only the architechtural features of the museum and its main installations, but it touches the recent history of Bilbao and the origin of the Guggenheim project

Fabulous architecture to a building. Enjoyed viewing the sculptures outside. Only 2 of the 3 floors were showing exhibits. Good place to visit if you like contemporary art. €12 per adult. Can use the city tour bus if you don’t want to walk. Option of having a guided tour but not really needed
