På denna 10-11 timmars rundtur besöker du Gyumri, den näst största staden i Armenien. Det är ett av republikens viktigaste kulturella centra, du kommer att se museet för stadsliv och Gyumri nationalkultur. Dessutom finns det en chans att gå genom stadens gamla gator, besöka den svarta fästningen och njuta av lunch på nationell restaurang (på egen bekostnad). Besök äntligen klostret Harichavank från 800-talet beläget på den västra sluttningen av berget Aragats, på en roky udde.

Gyumris vardagsliv, kultur och historia presenteras i museet. Denna anmärkningsvärda herrgård byggdes av den rika köpmannen Petros Dzitoghtsyan 1872 från den berömda röda tuffen Shirak. Museet grundades 1984 i just denna byggnad. Det ingår i listan över immateriella monument över Gyumris historia och kultur.

800-talsklosterkomplexet i Harichavank ligger på den västra sluttningen av berget Aragats, på en roky udde. Inte långt från huvudbyggnaderna finns ett litet kapell som är av stort intresse. Kapellet är byggt på ett stenstycke som som ett resultat av en jordbävning delades från udden och kapellet nu tornar sig över kanjonen.

Very reliable company. Alpine and Karen were very friendly.
I have been involved with a number of tours of the sights of Armenia with this company. We ride in a comfortable bus, and there are so many breathtaking places to see in this beautiful country. If you have the opportunity to come to Armenia and to patronize the services of Hyur, you must ask for Anush to be your guide. She is a living fountain of knowledge pertaining to all things Armenia, and her knowledge and experience breathes life into the adventure, whether you’re looking at a centuries old monastery, the bustling streets of Yerevan, or the emerald green hills of the Armenian highlands. Besides her personal knowledge, Anush has an excellent sense of humor and is patient with our sometimes rowdy and often slow-walking group. She is also a gifted singer! If you don’t ask her to sing for you in the glorious acoustics of the Geghardavank Monastery, it would be a pity. It was absolutely like a gift from heaven. And in all of our groups’ adventures, we were assisted by our fearless driver Hyke, who drives with as much skill and finesse as a pilot or Formula One driver! We love them both!

Our trip from Yerevan to Gyumri with the hire service was amazing. The driver, Spartak, and our guide, Rose, were incredibly accommodating and made our experience wonderful. They introduced us to a local dish called Kyala — cow’s head cooked in a traditional tonir (an underground wood-fired oven). It was surprisingly delicious. At the end, they even give you the option to scramble the brains with eggs — amazing! Highly recommend
