Denna 14-15-timmars rundtur besöker Khor Virap-klostret med sin magnifika utsikt över det bibiska berget Ararat. Nästa stopp är vid klosterkomplexet Noravank, som är unikt i sin konstruktion eftersom Guds Moder Kyrka är det enda tvåvåningsklostret i Armenien. Nästa är Tatev-klostret, ett andligt centrum som hade enastående vetenskaplig och politisk betydelse. Klostret är omgivet av vacker natur. På vägen tillbaka från Tatev tar du världens längsta linbana utan stopp "Tatever".

Khor Virap är den mest kända pilgrimsplatsen i Armenien, eftersom det är direkt kopplat till antagandet av kristendomen. Som statsreligion antogs kristendomen i Armenien år 301 på grund av ansträngningar av Saint Gregory Upplysaren, som, innan han konverterade kung Trdat 3: e till kristendomen, fängslades i fängelsehålan, över vilken en kyrka i Khor Virap kloster byggdes på 1600-talet. Från klostret kan man beundra den fantastiska utsikten över det bibliska berget Ararat.
Genom att passera en smal väg, omgiven av klippor av hundra grottor, upptäcker man en scen av harmoni mellan arkitektur och natur. Klostret, befäst med fina arkitektoniska lösningar och lyxiga utsmyckningar, är ett av de ljusaste exemplen på armenisk arkitektur från 1200-talet. Noravank består av St Karapet, St Gregory Illuminator kyrkor och St Astvatsatsin (Heliga Guds Moder) två våningar kyrka, som är känd för sina ideal konstruktiva och skulpturala arbete.
Kyrkklockorna ringde högt i Tatev den 16 oktober 2010, vilket förebådade lanseringen av ett program för att återuppliva ett medeltida klosterkomplex och öppnandet av "Wings of Tatev" Ropeway. Den 5,7 km långa linbanan, som byggdes inom 11 månader, passerar genom en djup klyfta av floden Vorotan och över kullar, täckta av frodiga skogar. Spårvägen bärs upp av tre torn mellan dess två terminaler. En terminal ligger på en kulle, med utsikt över byn Halidzor och den andra är nära Tatev kloster, på vägen till Tatev byn. Två hytter fungerar samtidigt, som färdas i motsatta riktningar. Det finns 6 kablar totalt (3 för varje stuga), var och en unikt planerad för specifikationerna för detta projekt. Inom ca 11 minuter tar en spårvägs stuga passagerare, 30 åt gången, från byn Halidzor till det magnifika komplexet Tatev.
Bland de arkitektoniska pelarna i Zangezour har klostret Tatev inte sina "rivaler". Det brukade vara det rikaste medeltida klostret i Armenien. Förutom att vara ett religiöst centrum var Tatev också det viktiga strategiska centret för Syunikriket. Beläget på en naturligt försvarad plats, har Tatev kloster alltid varit en ointaglig fästning för främmande. Under icke-stabila politiska förhållanden ledde flera hemliga vägar i fästningens territorium till kanjonen och fungerade som en länk mellan klostret och den yttre världen.

The tour guide MARINA was very good. Very emphatic. Very resilient. , when we had a cloud and thunders when we got to the cable car we waited until it was gone and did it. She didn’t cancel it immediately and I was very happy that thanks to her we did it eventually. Not only that. How she managed to move between the English speakers and Russian speakers and manage all the things I thought it was very impressive. . About the places they were very impressive. Very long day but it was worth it. I liked that we had a big bus on this tour with ports to charge your iPhone , and WiFi. Thanks marina for a great trip.

This was one of the most memorable day trips of my visit to Armenia and another excellent experience with Hyur Service. The itinerary covered some of the country's most iconic and breathtaking destinations, including Khor Virap, Noravank and Tatev Monastery, each offering a unique perspective on Armenia's history, culture and natural beauty. A special thank you to our guide, Marina, who was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging throughout the day. Her explanations helped bring the history of each site to life, and she ensured the group was well informed and comfortable at every stop. The journey was smooth and well organised, making it easy to relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery along the way. Khor Virap offered magnificent views of Mount Ararat, and I was fortunate to see the mountain in crystal-clear weather. Noravank was stunning, with its dramatic red canyon setting and beautiful medieval architecture. The highlight of the day was Tatev Monastery and the Wings of Tatev ropeway, where the combination of history, engineering and breathtaking mountain landscapes created an unforgettable experience. The tour was very well paced, with enough time at each stop to explore, take photographs and appreciate the surroundings. The constantly changing scenery, from the Ararat Plain to deep canyons, mountain valleys and spectacular viewpoints, showcased the incredible diversity of Armenia. I highly recommend both this tour and Hyur Service to anyone visiting Armenia. It is a long day, but every kilometre is worth it, and it provides an outstanding introduction to Armenia's history, culture and natural beauty.

The tour guide Karen is very educated, as a scholar, continuously introducing various attractions along the way, learning a lot. The driver brother Aro opened the road very well and very smooth. Today saw a beautiful landscape, there are snow mountains, there are grasslands, and the flowers of the wilderness are also beautiful. The Tatev Monastery is very spectacular.
