Chennai-promenaden ligger i Mylapore, en gammal plats med skrivna dokument som går tillbaka till 1:a århundradet e.Kr. Det är ett land med många gudar! Vi börjar vandringsturen i Chennai vid Kapaaleswar-templet, det mest kända templet i Mylapore. Templet är Mylapores epicentrum och vår guide kommer att avmystifiera alla fantastiska ritualer som händer i templet!
Nästa gång i vår Chennai-vandring kommer vi att besöka klostret och det universella templet Ramakrishna, en av Indiens största filosofer. Vår kulturevangelist kommer att förklara sitt bidrag till indisk filosofi, sin tro på harmoni mellan religioner. Hans fantastiska arbete med att fungera som en bro mellan den antika och moderna världen.
Vasupujya Swami-templet är ett Shwetambara Jain-tempel och har en imponerande arkitektur. Templet är tillägnat Lord Mahavira och de andra 24 Tirtankaras (andliga lärare). Templet har en trollbindande atmosfär och bidrar till den religiösa mångfalden i Mylapore.
Vandringsturen i Chennai tar oss till huvudkyrkan i det romersk-katolska ärkestiftet Madras & Mylapore. Det är en fascinerande upplevelse i den neogotiska basilikan. Helgedomen bevarar ett litet ben och lansen som genomborrade Saint Thomas år 52 och det är verkligen höjdpunkten på denna Chennai-vandring.

Ganesh our guide is well spoken and pleasant. We went through the tour at a leisurely pace with a few moments of contemplation at the religious sites in between. Really made me feel knee deep into the religious culture of Chennai. The booking through the operator is also seemless and easy.
Easy to book. Mr Jainath is an excellent guide. We learn a lot from him. He brought us along with patience as we were severely jet lagged. The coffee break was excellent and much needed to wake us up. We saw Hindu temple, Jain temple, a catholic basilica and a Ramakrisna temple. Chennai is full of history and culture. Be prepared to be bare feet so sandal/flip flop is handy. 5 stars!!
Fun, informative short tour with the great guide Kannan. A lot of information and tailored to our needs. A cup of coffee at the end.

I had a wonderful time with my fun and knowledgeable guide, Satish. From the moment we met at the meet up point he was warm and friendly and very considerate, even making sure we stood in the shade while he told me epic stories and fun facts. He knew all the best photo spots and helped me with temple etiquette with grace and clear explanations. The tour is comprehensive and diverse and includes special touches I wasn’t expecting. I would even do the exact same tour again, it was so great. Just book it! You’ll love it.
Experience was great. Solo tour! Admission fee was 2500 I believe. The length of the tour was about 3 hours. The atmosphere was warm and busy but not too hot, very pleasant. Best for sight of temples and churches in Mylapore. Jainath was my tour guide. He was fantastic and full of information.
