Följ med oss på en kort liten grupptur till det berömda vattenfallet Goðafoss, ett av de mest populära turistmålen på norra Island. På vägen tillbaka till Akureyri kör vi längs Eyjafjordurs kust, en av de längsta fjordarna på Island där du kan se över fjorden till Akureyri och ta ett fantastiskt foto. Därifrån stannar vi vid Forest Lagoon, en geotermisk spaanläggning som ligger mittemot Akureyri. Här finns infinitypooler med poolbarer, en bastu och ett kallt badkar och fantastisk utsikt över Eyjafjordur-fjorden.

Goðafoss vattenfall är ett av de vackraste vattenfallen på Island. Smeknamnet gudarnas vattenfall på grund av dess historia. År 1000 gjorde Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði kristendomen till Islands officiella religion och fortsatte med att kasta sina statyer av gudar i vattenfallet. Vattnet faller från en höjd av 12 meter över en bredd av 30 meter.

Upphämtningsinformation! Om du anländer till Akureyri med kryssningsfartyg, se till att du har gett oss namnet på ditt fartyg, eftersom det finns flera hamnar i Akureyri. Tangabryggja hamn : Strax utanför kryssningsområdet ser du flera små trähus. Star Travel ligger i hus nummer 3, så möts vi där. Oddeyrarbryggja Hamn : Precis utanför fartyget hittar du en Icewearbutik. Bredvid den är det utsedda agentområdet där alla researrangörer väntar på sina kunder. Vi kommer att vara där med en Star Travel-skylt. Leta efter en av våra kollegor som bär en klargul jacka. Om du bor i Akureyri, kontrollera att du har valt rätt boende för upphämtning. Reynir was a great guide. He stopped off at the viewpoint on the fjord to enable us to snap some pictures and enroute to the Godafoss waterfall. Spent an hour taking in the watery sights and then to the Forest Lagoon for prepaid 2 hours of calm and relaxation. We learnt a lot Reynir thank you!

We had the most amazing time visiting the Godafoss waterfall and being able to experience the Forest Lagoon & Spa. We were blessed to have Reynir (tour guide) take us to and from both Godafoss and the Forest Lagoon as he was very informative, friendly and patient which we both appreciated. Prior to going, he made contact via email to keep us in the loop which was great and gave us plenty of time to explore whilst letting us know plenty of information about the history and geography of the area. Should we ever return, we’d very much use Star Travel for our excursions!

Incredible experience! We were the only people booked on, so it was like having a private tour! Our guide took us to all the best viewing spots for photos, gave us time to see things that we wanted to see and finishing the day in the Lagoon was perfect! Would recommend!

Our guide Krista was incredible! Smart, funny and informative. The waterfall was amazing and the forest lagoon was most relaxing. I would recommend the forest lagoon over the blue lagoon near Reykjavik for sure. Much less crowded much less expensive.

The experience was not as described. The waterfall allowed 40 minutes Vaolaheioi Utsynispallur did not happen… We were dropped at the forest lagoon (but not picked back up). The falls were beautiful, and the lagoon was great… tour was just not as described.
