Not good value for money
Our guide was lovely but it was very expensive for what we got. I thought at $55 per person the tasting sizes would be more generous. The wine tasting were the same size as you would expect at a free tasting, and the cheeses were just a mouthful. The guide mentioned before the tasting about being shown around the wine cave etc, but that didn’t happen. At the end of the tasting we were asked what our favourite pairing was, and I thought we may have received a glass of that wine, but no. I wouldn’t recommend this.

A great Sunday afternoon tasting wine and eating cheese
We spent a really interesting two hour visiting the cave and trying out various wines and cheese - we have annabelle Spanish guide (Marina) who was very knowledgable around all things wine

Well worth a look.
Lovely way to spend an afternoon, the wines were delicious and so was the local cheese.

Wine & cheese pairing
Melissa was excellent. You could tell she loved sharing her expertise with the group. She went above and beyond to make it special.

I’d skip it
I expected a bit more from this place. It was a beautiful space nestled into the landscape that probably caters more to weddings or events, but the wine flight and cheese plate were just ok. Nothing exceptional. Can get better wine or less money at BWS.

Cheese and Wine - The perfect pair
We had the most incredible cheese and wine tasting experience at Gibbston Valley Wines, thanks to Melissa! She was absolutely amazing—warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the wines and cheeses she presented.
Melissa took the time to explain each pairing in a way that was both engaging and easy to follow. Her recommendations were spot on, and you could really feel her enthusiasm for making the experience special. Every wine was beautifully matched with its cheese, and she made the whole tasting feel personal and memorable.
This was truly a standout experience and one I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Gibbston Valley. Thank you, Melissa, for making it exceptional!

A wonderful experience, Sally our guide was wonderful and the cheeses and wine divine.
The facilities are amazing.

Great wines & platters, beautiful grounds
We had an absolutely lovely time at the winery. Loved the wines and the platters and the atmosphere is something else: beautiful well-maintained gardens, lovely trees, friendly staff. Will definitely be back

Incredible pairings and beautiful winery
Amazing cheese and wine pairing... would have smashed way more if it was available :)
Winery region was beautiful and even rented an e-bike for 30 mins before our tasting

Absolutely amazing!! Sally and the team were so knowledgeable same with Jorge the shuttle driver giving us a tour while on the way to Gibbston Valley 10/10 recommend
