Från Cusco: Moray, Maras Saltgruvor & Chincherovävare Halvdag

Denna halvdagsutflykt till Moray och Minas de Sal låter dig ge dig in i en del av den heliga dalen, på vacker jordbruksmark utanför Cusco och nära den antika Andinska staden Chinchero. Du kommer att besöka följande platser: Andean Textile Centre i Chinchero, Moray, byn Maras och saltgruvor.

Vi hämtar dig från ditt hotell mellan 8:20 och 8:40 och beger oss till Chinchero som ligger på 3 762 meters höjd.
Vi kommer att uppskatta den traditionella marknaden, där de utövar byteshandel, vi kommer att besöka vävverkstaden där lokalbefolkningen som fortfarande utövar QUECHUA-traditionen, de kommer att visa oss hur de får färgerna från naturliga växter och du kan ta fina bilder klädda i Andinska kläder (Vid denna tidpunkt kommer du bara att besöka en del av staden Chinchero och ett andinskt textilcenter.)
Vi fortsätter till MORAY som ligger vid (3 450 m/11 318 fot) där vi hittar jordbruksterrasserna med deras komplexa system av bevattning och terrasser, olika nivåer av terrasser är huggen in i en enorm skål, varav en del utgrävdes ytterligare av inkafolket. antas att de användes av inkafolket för att upptäcka de optimala odlingsförhållandena för deras grödor, dessa terrasser fungerade som ett naturligt växthus för att odla en extraordinär variation av grödor på en höjd som normalt inte gynnar grödorna, inkafolket var mycket avancerade i kunskap om att skapa specifika subklimat.
Sedan är vi på väg till Salt Mines, på vägen kommer vi att se Maras Village där dess koloniala arkitektoniska skönhet fortfarande är bevarad, du kommer att se byggnaderna är av tunn sten, sedan flyttar vi till Salineras, saltgruvan består av 3000 små pooler, var tredje dag, under torrperioden, fyller arbetarna bassängerna med saltvatten som kommer från naturliga varma källor, denna plats var arbete sedan före Inkatiden fram till nuförtiden, saltet mals upp, behandlas med jod förpackas och skickas till olika marknader i regionen.

Vi hämtar dig mellan 8:20 och 8:50, det beror på var ditt boende ligger. En dag innan vi kommer att koordinera den exakta upphämtningstiden, om du är ute på upphämtningsplatsen kan vi hämta dig på plaza de armas (huvudtorget i Cusco). Vår personal kommer att fråga efter dig i receptionen.

The view with Ruben and Jaime was wonderful! Ruben is very passionate about explaining everything that surrounds us, not just the places visited, but also the culture that surrounds us in these places, you can see that he really likes what he does! The bus trip was calm, Jaime is an excellent driver! Two people during the trip were not feeling well due to altitude sickness and Ruben and Jaime helped them a lot, with agua florida, blankets. The proposed activities are very interesting and the local inhabitants and the businesses are very kind and helpful! Highly recommended
An excellent tour that looks at three interesting areas. The textiles demonstration in Chichero was brilliant and a real surprise - the family working there were wonderful hosts and it was really interesting to see the traditional techniques used to spin, dye and weave. The visit to the salt mine was also really interesting. Only suggestion would be to include a lunch stop as it’s definitely more of a whole day rather than a half day trip, leaving at 8.30 and returning at 3.30
We had a fantastic tour today. Jonathan was full of knowledge and very interesting - he was also caring, kind and funny and made our whole day full of laughs! The traditional weaving experience was very interesting. From start to finish, a fantastic day!

The tour was spectacular, the guide Hipólito was very charismatic and kind, he was always attentive to whatever you needed and was very interested in making sure you learned about the history. Very organized and everything on time, I would definitely recommend this tour.

Hipo did a fantastic job leading the tour. I loved the salt mines, agricultural site, and the weavers. If you’re interested in purchasing authentic Peruvian textiles keep in mind they accept credit card as well. Never felt rushed at all. Highly recommend this service to anyone as a day trip from Cusco (it says half day but it’s pretty much a full day).
