Vet du vad Lactobacillus bulgaricus är? Detta är en specifik bakterie som lever i lokala mejeriprodukter. Dess egenskaper kan minska cancerceller och åldrande. Den upptäcktes för första gången i den här regionen dit vi ska – Trun. Tillverkningen av yoghurt har djupa traditioner – historiskt har det alltid funnits människor i dessa länder. Traker, romare, till och med korsfarare har bosatt sig här. Kom till detta äventyr, där vi ska vandra det bulgariska Matterhorn – 1118 meter över havet med panoramautsikt och ravinen i Ermafloden, en av landets nationalklenoder!

Överföringen från Sofia till början av leden av Dragovski-stenen är ungefär en och en halv timme. Leden är utmanande, men det tar cirka 45 minuter att nå toppen. Du kommer att belönas med en magnifik utsikt över de bulgariska bergen. Sedan kommer vi tillbaka via en annan stig, där vi kan se den lilla bäcken Dragovski-floden och några vattenfall.
Sedan beger vi oss till Trun, en stad rik på resurser. Överföringen är mindre än 30 minuter. Vi stannar bilen i slutet av staden och vi går till ravinen. Många legender finns runt denna plats. Vandringen här är omgiven av två alternativ – lätt och svår och det är cirka 2 timmar.

The tour was well organised and the pick up was on time. The guide was very experienced. The guide knew a lot about archeology and history and I learned a lot about bulgarian history. Not a second was boring, I can highly recommend this trip for all who stay in Sofia
I can highly recommend that excursion. A great trip, beautiful bulgarian landscapes, amazing nature, rock formations and waterfalls,addictionaly very professional, friendly guide with impressive knowledge when it comes to nature and history. Definitely the best thing I did in Sofia. The guide was very knowledgeable and I definitely recommend this as a great hike! Just make sure you bring good shoes!

It was a 2 hour drive through an alpine spring landscape before we parked the car and headed for the gorge. My guide asked me if I was used to hiking – No. Did I want to use a hiking stick – never even seen one! We walked up an increasingly steep slope, following a narrow path through the trees above the gorge. We then descended down rubble, soil steps which lead to a narrow, short, basic wooden bridge across the gorge. The climb back up the other side was steeper and more strenuous, but the view from that side was equally as good through the gorge. The guide asked if I’d like to cross over further along the stream, but that meant more scrambling up and down the steep hillside, so instead we returned to our car via the forest road. Basically, the view is wonderful but you really need to be fit and used to hiking to walk the whole gorge.
