Our guide, Sybila (I think), was wonderful. She was easy to spot once we arrived at the meeting spot. She was very knowledgeable, and friendly. We learned so much more by taking this tour than we would have on our own. We were able to stay in the Accademia after the tour completed and look at the rest of the artwork at our leisure. I highly recommend this tour. We met for the 9:30am tour and it was not as busy as when we left about noon.
What a fantastic place to visit, made all the better by our wonderful tour guide Federica. Her knowledge and passionate for the artworks and sculptures helped bring its rich history to life.
This is a review for the private tour. The tour guide was very engaging, knew the material really well and was fun to spend the time with. My wife and I were traveling with our two young teen daughters who weren't as interested in this as we were but the guide made a particular effort to connect with them both. We primarily do private tours and I would rank this one as a better one we have done. I think the amount of time we spent in each location was about right and we were whisked into the Accademia within minutes of arrival.
I loved it, and the guide named Ilaria did everything very well, paying attention to detail.

A guided tour of the Academy with a local guide, who also has experience as an art curator, so we enjoyed detailed and wonderful explanations; we enjoyed it 1000%.

The experience was wonderful. Our guide Hilaria takes you on a journey back to the time of Michelangelo and wonderfully explains the details of the sculpture. She is a great professional who clearly adores Michelangelo😉.

We were fortunate to take the tour of the Academy Gallery with Hilaria, and it was one of the best experiences of the trip. From the very first moment, his genuine passion for the art and history of Florence is evident. He not only explains the works — he brings them to life. In front of Michelangelo's David, his account was so detailed and emotional that it completely changes the way you see it. Hilaria has an impressive command of the subject and a special ability to connect with the group. At no point did we feel like we were on a massive tour. He made us feel accompanied and in very good hands. His Spanish is perfect and his pace is ideal — neither rushed nor slow. Each explanation has just the right amount of time. If you visit Florence and want to truly understand what you are seeing, look for Hilaria. It is worth every euro and every minute.
