Seeing the statue of David is a must see in Florence. Galya was our tour guide and did a great job of explaining the history of not just David, but other pieces in the museum. We booked late so having the skip the line was necessary. I would definitely recommend this tour to someone wanting to see the museum without having to wait in the long lines at the museum.
Great tour for a quick visit to Michelangelo’s David! Our Guide was excellent, perfect English and lots of fun facts!
This tour was exactly what we needed for a family of 5 with 3 late-teen boys. We walked to the meeting point and quickly found the tour company (the Traveler Tours flag was exactly where it was supposed to be, but given the intense heat, we found them across the way in the shade). Within 15 minutes, as expected, our tour guide arrived to meet the group. They efficiently handed out headsets and we were off to walk the few blocks to the museum. We found the headset very useful for allowing us to hear Galya the entire time because it was quite crowded both on the street and in the museum. Galya was a phenomenal guide. She clearly knew the artwork, musical instruments and history of the works in the museum and she gave us highlights, pointing out important differences, with some historical color and also humor about the families, wealth and artists. As expected, the actual tour was just about 1 hour. We headed out at 12:55pm, arrived by 1:00pm and were done with our tour at David by 2:05. We saw the room of religious paintings, the room of Medici musical instruments, and the statues along the way to David before our tour ended at David. It was perfect for us. Her knowledge and delivery style was engaging and lighthearted, exactly what we needed to see the highlights, learn a bit and appreciate the beauty. Afterwards, we saw several other rooms quickly before leaving. I could've stayed longer, and our tickets would allow us to browse more of the museum at our leisure once the tour was done, but it was just enough for my guys. I thought the description was spot on and for the ease of entry, timing and coverage was exactly what I needed. Note that it really is a quick 1-1.25 hour tour, but that was perfect for us. I felt like there was value for us in getting someone knowledgeable, moving quickly, not having to wait in line in the heat and seeing the highlights. For me, worth the price.

Antonio was a fantastic guide. He answered lots of questions and brought the art alive in stories and political context. We had a little trouble finding the meeting place because the map link had us turn in the wrong direction on the street where the meeting place is designated. We appreciated the photo that showed us where to meet.

Guide very knowledgeable and offered to let anyone from group go on own if they wanted at any point of tour. We stayed with group for 2/3 of tour then jumped to David on our own.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience to see David! Our tour guide was absolutely exceptional.
