Fantastiskt vattenfallsäventyr i Sierra Madre-bergen

Uppe i "Sierra Madre-bergen" i delstaten Oaxaca, omgiven av sprudlande växtlighet och spektakulära landskap ligger "Las Brisas-vattenfallen" med sitt kristallklara vatten som brinner under jorden från källor och rinner ner längs Copalitilla-floden för att ge dig fantastiska platser där du kan göra alla typer av aktiviteter som att vandra och simma hoppa med repen eller bara koppla av själv. Efter denna underbara upplevelse njuter vi av en utsökt typisk lunch.

På vägen till vattenfallen har vi chansen att upptäcka det verkliga Mexiko och passera olika små städer och samhällen där reseguiden kommer att förklara för gruppen hur lokalbefolkningen lever. Vi gör ett litet stopp i en av dessa byar för en paus på toaletten, för att njuta av en kopp av det riktigt goda kaffet eller chokladen som de producerar vid bergen och lära oss om traditionell medicin genom växter och örter som växer i skogen.
När vi väl får vattenfallen kommer vi att beundra deras kristallklara vatten som kommer ner från bergen. Vi kommer att ha tid att njuta av denna naturliga skönhet och koppla av och simma i sötvattnet och naturliga jacuzzis samt utforska de omgivande naturliga grottorna.
Vi avslutar vårt äventyr med en traditionell Oaxacan-måltid på en typisk restaurang i det omgivande området och vi rider tillbaka till ditt boende.

Me and my husband had a phenomenal experience! The drive from our resort was relaxing, the short walk to the falls was absolutely beautiful, and lunch was so delicious my husband ate more food than he probably should have and we were both ready for a siesta when we got back to our hotel. Our tour guide, Saul, was very knowledgeable and easygoing, and facilitated a wonderful day for us that we won’t soon forget : ) If you are so inclined, you can complete this tour in sandals, but wearing water shoes - especially in the pools as they are slick with algae, is probably to your advantage. Make sure you bring some water with you to drink, and definitely check out the pool behind the waterfall!
Our guide, Eduardo was beyond excellent. Extremely knowledgeable about history, flora and fauna of the area.

Our travel guide was Eduardo Bolaños and he was a perfect host. He showed up at our hotel about 5 minutes prior to our pickup time. A large air conditioned van, clean inside and out, with cold drinks available. We received a narrative along the way about the local area and its history. Just as promised, we stopped for a bathroom break, coffee, hot chocolate, and an education on medicines using local plants. Onward to the waterfalls, and WOW, we were not disappointed. Eduardo lead us along the path to an extraordinary site. The pictures on the Viator website do not do it justice. He gave us a quick safety briefing, and then lead a few of us under and behind the falls into a cave/grotto where we experienced the thundering water within a few feet of us. AMAZING! This was followed by a swim in the crystal clear waters, before enjoying a genuine, traditional Mexican meal at a restaurant within a few metres of the river. On top of all this, we were surrounded by the lush tropical beauty of Oaxaca. The only regret was not bringing more cash with us to buy coffee and other treats to take home. BTW, they do accept credit cards. Don’t miss out on this opportunity.
Had a great day with Fabian as our guide. The mountains the falls everything was beautiful. Had a very delicious traditional lunch and had a lesson in making tortillas. Can’t wait to go again.
