Under denna korta djungelvandring har du en stor chans att se Sumatran Orangutanger och andra vilda djur samt en mängd olika växter och insekter. På morgonen klockan 10:30 kommer vår engelsktalande guide att hämta dig från ditt närliggande pensionat i Bukit Lawang. Efteråt börjar din grupp din vandring genom tät regnskog och passerar oförglömliga natursköna utsiktspunkter med utsikt över hela dalen, Bohorokfloden och byn Bukit Lawang. Mot slutet av din vandring kommer du till foten av Bukit Lawang och kommer att guidas tillbaka till ditt pensionat runt 15:00. Ta bara bilder, lämna inget annat än fotspår, döda inget annat än tid. Detta är mantrat för våra vandringsturer som har för avsikt att lämna inget oorganiskt bakom sig. Tack vare sitt kontinuerliga arbete har vårt EcoTravel-team belönats med bl.a. - Det är ett MÖTE MED DITT GUIDETEAM EN DAG INNAN TUREN STARTAR på vårt EcoTravel Tour Office mellan 15:00 pm – 19:00 pm, där du kommer att få viktig information och en introduktion till din djungelvandring med start nästa morgon. Se till att vara i Bukit Lawang i tid! Kom bara ihåg att från Medans flygplats tar transfern till djungeln cirka 4,5 timmar, så ju senare du anländer desto senare kommer du till Bukit Lawang. Vi rekommenderar att du väljer ditt boende nära våra EcoTravel stugor/kontor för denna natt. Din EcoTravel djungelvandring börjar från vår bas i Bukit Lawang kl 11:00. Du kommer att utforska djungeln i en liten grupp på upp till 8 personer. Din tur är begränsad i storlek och antal på grund av miljöfrågor.
- VIKTIG INFORMATION: På de flesta tillfällen ser du orangutanger på djungelvandringar men det finns ingen garanti! Dessa djur lever ute i naturen och det är svårt att avgöra var de kommer att vara när som helst på dagen. Men alla EcoTravel-guider har många års erfarenhet och vårt team har ett mycket gott rykte i Bukit Lawang. Vi anställer inte ytterligare externa guider på grund av säkerhetsskäl för våra gäster. Våra handfull välbevandrade och enthuisiastiska EcoTravel-guider är lokalbefolkningen från denna region, talar engelska, har utmärkta kunskaper om växter och djur - och är alla certifierade av den lokala ITGA-HPI (Indonesiens turistguider förening - Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesien).

We did the one-day orangutan trekking with Sumatra Ecotravel, and it was absolutely incredible. Our guide, Pitit, was not only knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the jungle, but also deeply respectful of the environment and wildlife. His passion for conservation was clear in everything he did. Unlike some other guides we observed, who were feeding the orangutans (something that’s both harmful and irresponsible), Pitit and the team at Sumatra Ecotravel are strongly against this and make a real effort to protect the animals and their natural behavior. The trek itself was well organized, safe, and unforgettable. We felt completely immersed in the jungle, and seeing orangutans in their natural habitat—without disturbing them—was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. On top of that, when our children fell ill and we had to adjust our plans, the staff was incredibly understanding and flexible. They handled the situation with genuine care and even provided a refund without hesitation. That kind of service is rare and deeply appreciated. Sumatra Ecotravel is the real deal: ethical, professional, and passionate. Highly recommended for anyone who wants an authentic and responsible jungle experience in Bukit Lawang!
We were looking for an organization and found ECO-Travel, which completely organized us for a week on Sumatra. Of course, it was also about a jungle trek to the orangutans. Communication went very smoothly from the beginning and aligned with our wishes. All components of our travel transfers, accommodation, services- went perfectly, we no longer had to worry about anything on site. We would like to highlight the crew who looked after us in Bukit Lawang. We were the oldest participants at 61 and 58 years and always had a helping hand and a friendly smile from Hendra, Ewi and Tomino on the trek! Thanks to Ecotravel for the nice trip!
This jungle trek was an amazing experience!!! The jungle was beautiful and we saw a lot of monkeys and orangutan 🤩. The people were very kind and made it an unbelievable trip. I really recommend it! Great jungle experience, attentive Guide and quality service in view of the weather and wild conditions
We spent a fantastic time with the family (2 adults and 3 children aged 13, 11 and 7) in Bukit Lawang, the jungle tour (2days/1night) exceeded our expectations, we had many encounters with orangutans, macaques, punky monkeys, turtles...) However, you had to be reasonably sure of your steps as the ground was very softened by a thunderstorm during our tour. The care by Firman, Aouie and everyone else from Ecotravel was very caring and accommodating, we felt very comfortable. The accommodation at the lodge was very comfortable and clean, the breakfast excellent and rich. Also the hospitality during the tour was very rich and decidedly tasty. All in all, we can absolutely recommend Ecotravel!
What an amazing experience! The lodge is set on a river in Bukit Lawang and it is stunning. Breakfast was served during each morning we stayed in the lodge. Lunch and dinner was an easy walk away. The food provided on the trek was above and beyond our expectations. Seeing the wild orangutans in their native habitat will live with me for the rest of my life. Thank you Eco Travel team for the amazing experience! I don't recommend bringing small children. As you will be trekking through the jungle. We got caught in a thunderstorm and it became a pretty treacherous hike to the camp at that point. Definitely an awesome experience but I couldn't imagine having kids in the group.
We spent three wonderful days at Eco Travel Cottages Bukit Lawang. It was the absolute highlight of our Indonesia holiday. Everything worked out great, from airport pickup to our unforgettable shower jungle tour. Many thanks to our guides who accompanied us in the jungle. We saw a lot and had an unforgettable day. Me and my friend had 3 nights stay at EcoTravel in Bukit Lawang. We did the 2days trek into the jugle. We had a perfect experience with the nature and the great staff from EcoTravel! Would totally recommend the trip into the sumatran jungle. We've seen many orang-utans and other life in the jungle! Hendra, Ewi and Wawan and also the rest of the EcoTravel team really put effort in making the experience an outstanding one!
At 71, I am no longer the youngest. The guides brought me and my wife safely and close to the orange according to our abilities. My backpack with the heavy photographic equipment was carried by them in demanding terrain and we were safely led over difficult passages. In between we were spoiled with fresh fruit and a warm rice meal. It was an overwhelming experience. The privately run lodge is very lovingly an individually furnished. The sumptuous breakfast makes you fit for the day and after the excursions you can safely swim and refresh yourself in the river.
One of the most amazing days of my life! The guides were very concerned with our safety but were also smart and strategic to get us as close to the animals as possible without stressing the animals or being unsafe. I would recommend them to anyone. Very professional!
