Du kommer att ha möjlighet att upptäcka skönheterna i vår vulkan och den fantastiska Taormina på bara en dag, efter upphämtningen i staden KATANIEN, här går vi: Första stoppet: Gå genom århundraden gamla skogar, excentriska kratrar och unika lavaformationer (vanligtvis Sartoriusbergen eller kratrarna som bildades 2002 på den nordöstra sidan av Etna), vår naturguide presenterar dig för den fascinerande världen av vulkaniska fenomen. Andra stopp: Du kommer att utforska en grotta av vulkaniskt ursprung (till exempel "Grotta dei Ladroni" eller "Grotta Cassone") med nödvändig utrustning (hjälmar och facklor). Under vinterperioden utförs inte grottan i händelse av betydande snöfall eller när det finns is vid ingången vilket skulle göra inträdet farligt. Tredje etappen: Om väderförhållandena tillåter det kommer du att ha ett mellanmål baserat på ett typiskt sicilianskt "hett bord". Annars äter lunchen inomhus på en härlig fjällgård.
Fjärde stoppet: På eftermiddagen når du Taormina där du självständigt kan besöka dess eleganta bana som skiljer stadens medeltida portar, Porta Catania och Messina. Du får en karta med all information om de viktigaste platserna att besöka. Guiden väntar på dig vid ingången till staden (huvudsakligen en gågata) för återkomsten till Catania. Under utflykten når du en maximal höjd av 2000 meter (våra naturguides kompetensområde).

We had an absolutely exceptional experience visiting Mount Etna. It was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Mirco, stands out for his enormous sympathy, professionalism and knowledge. Always available and attentive, made the whole experience even more enriching and pleasant. The group we shared this adventure with was equally fantastic — fun, relaxed and with great energy, which contributed to very special moments. To complement, the food and wine were simply delicious, providing a true taste of the region. We highly recommend this experience — memorable from beginning to end!

This was an amazing and very informative tour. It was a little more challenging than I expected due to heavy snowfall on the volcano, but we were given boots and extra jackets if needed. The lunch and wine was fantastic! More food than we could eat!

Luca was an incredible guide and so passionate about sharing Etna and his knowledge about volcanoes and geological phenomena with us as well as his love for nature and Sicily. The hike was so great and fun and needed before the feast at the winery! We can’t wait to visit again!

Giovanni was an excellent and exuberant guide. So nice to have someone so passionate and knowledgeable about our 'adventure'. The trek up the 'craters' was a bit difficult ( 3 in their 60s and 1 70 y/o) but worth it. The lava tube was really cool. Even had a bat fly by our heads!! Food at the wine area was very good and varied with several local foods. Only issue was communication from Viator as to where to meet for the tour. Left several messages/emails and did not hear until the day before. This is unfortunately typical for Viator in my experience. Still I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Giovanni if possible.
