I denna turné kommer du att besöka några av de laterala kratrarna (inte aktiva längre) som går upp till 2000 meter över havet. Landskapet är fantastiskt, omgivet av kratrar, lavaströmmar, vulkanaska och många olika växter, de flesta av dem infödda. Alla våra reseguider och förare är certifierade enligt italiensk lag. På grund av COVID-19-pandemin följer vi alla riktlinjer från WHO och italienska regeringen för att garantera din säkerhet. • Upphämtning och transfer, avgår från Catania kl. 8.30 • Guidad tur från 1900m till 2000m a.s.l. • Ankomsttid till Catania runt kl. 13.30

på vägen kommer du att se byn Nicolosi som ligger vid foten av vulkanen Etna. Det är härifrån som 1669 startade ett enormt utbrott som förstörde byar och delvis staden Catania. Från Nicolosi till Rifugio Sapienza (1900 meter över havet) kommer du att se ett fantastiskt månlandskap omgivet av laterala kratrar, lavaströmmar och en enorm basaltgruva, allt blandat med en inhemsk vegetation
Crateri Silvestri är de mest populära laterala kratrarna vi har runt Mt. Etna. Detta utbrott började 1892

a truly memorable experience, Constanza was a super stimulating Guide with his vast range of knowledge and experience and his sympathy and sensitivity left its mark! the guided tour allowed us to follow an engaging itinerary to discover all the geological and historical peculiarities of the area, I recommend anyone who wants to venture on this incredible volcano to rely on this tour <3
Beautiful experience, we were lucky enough to meet two guides, Silvia and Corrado, both very prepared and very nice. We also enjoyed it with the other couples who took part in the tour. Times are relaxed, we walked on Etna and tasted local products. Activities beyond expectations.

This was one of the best experiences of my life: The morning tour to mount Etna. We started spot on time - very pleasant for a German tourist - and were driven safely up the mountain, by our super driver/guide, Costanza. On the way she told us a lot about the geological, historical and volcanological (?) background of the area and about Mt Etna. Costanza was easy-going, fun to be with, knowledgable and able to make everyone feel welcome. Several tour options were on offer - visiting the summit, go for a walk, etc. When we reached 2000m she recommended going up to 2950m, with the cable car, due to the great weather/sight. She stayed with us at all times making sure we didn't get lost. On that day Mount Etna made astonishing, beautiful rings and Costanza called out to us, on the bus, to come outside, to have a look. It was a super great day - ending with a wine-tasting at an organic vinyard (DO IT - if you can!!!), and a safe, amiable drive home. I highly recommend this trip: great value and wonderful experience. I travelled alone, aged 52, single, but I would love to return with my 12-year-old son :)

Nice Tour to see the vulcano and get to know a lot about his emergence. Janet is very friendly, has an answer to every question about the vulcano and its a lot of fun with her! We absolutely would recommend this Tour:)
I had an amazing time with Janet walking around the Etna and learning more about its history. The communication prior to the trip was very efficient and the pick-up was easy to organise. During the trip Janet provided a lot of information but about Etna, volcanoes in general and the geology around Sicily. This was an amazing experience as Janet brought a lot of energy and good mood with her music and kind words. I highly recommend this tour!
Janet was our guide for the day. As a geologist, her passion about Volcanic mountains and especially Mt.Etna( which she calls her home) was very evident. She made the trip very interesting with facts and also Italian songs. I would recommend this trip to others who are visiting Etna for easy, fun experience.
