Richard Serra satte en ny stående konst av plattjärn som är cirka 15 m (49 fot) hög har avtäckts i Qatars öken. Richard Serras The Artist, skapad för Qatar av den kända amerikanska konstnären Richard Serra's, kallas "East-West / West-East", och ligger cirka 60 km utanför Doha vid Brouq Nature Reserve nära Zekreet. Zekreet fort Qatar Landskapet på Zekreet-halvön har en unik och fascinerande geologi. Saltslätter, klippor och öppen ökenplatå dominerar detta landskap. Det finns inga sanddyner här, konstiga klippformationer och fantastisk utsikt över vikens blåa vatten. Bir-Zekreets kalkstensbrant är en blekig öken, det blåsiga har förföriska klippor, avslöjande pelare, stor kalkstenssvamp och konstiga former när den skjuter ut från klipporna. Stranden ligger i hjärtat av staden och nära stranden. Strandklipporna med naturliga kurvor ger oss ett koncept av noggrann snidning gjord av någon stor konstnär. Besök på Eye Wall i slutet av turen.

Had an amazing day tour with Shabab to the Misfir Cave, camel racing tracks and the Lawh Wa Qalam Musuem. The museum is truly a hidden gem and not to be missed!

Muhammad was an outstanding guide for the East–West / West–East tour. We visited the mushroom rocks, film city and many more. He was extremely patient, thoughtful, and very knowledgeable, not just about the artwork but also the surrounding landscape and its significance.
