Vänligen anlända 30 min. före starttid! Trampa längs Atlantkusten, upptäck charmiga hamnstäder och njut av solen på några av New Hampshires vackraste stränder. Detta är en liten och intim cykeltur för kustentusiaster och individer som är ivriga att utforska 17 + mil kustlinjen på en pedalassisterad cykel i cirka 3,5 - 4 timmar. Glid längs strandkanten och stränderna medan du observerar tre operativa fyrar, pittoreska öar, fridfulla vikar och utsökta kustnära herrgårdar. Under ledning av en Expert Guide, kommer du att korsa längs Route 1A, som nära följer Atlanten, stannar vid de historiska platser som inte är synliga från bilen. Din Guide kommer att dela historiska insikter och lokala berättelser om områdena sjöfartshistoria och fiskeindustrin som formade regionen. En av de bästa platserna på vår rutt med den bästa utsikten. North Hampton Beach är lugnt, lugnt och det finns utsikt över Swank Little Boars Head och Isles of Shoals.

Odiorne State Park var en "sann vildmark" tills ungefär 400 år sedan. De första människorna som upptäckte Odiorne Point var stammarna Abenaki och Penacook. De hänvisade till Odiorne Point som "Pennaway" och stannade bara i området när de passerade genom. Under denna tid utnyttjade de de rikliga resurserna runt omkring. Detta inkluderade fiske vid kusten och gräva i sanden efter musslor och musslor. Permanent bosättning började på 1600-talet. 1623 seglade en engelskman med namnet David Thompson på ett fartyg med namnet Jonathan, som planerade att bosätta sig längs New Englands kust. Detta fartyg skulle vara det första som bosatte sig i New Hampshire på Odiorne Point. År senare 1660 gick John Odiorne med i denna bosättning och fortsatte att förvärva många tunnland mark och strandlinje inklusive det som nu är statsparken och skulle senare namnges efter John Odiorne. På denna webbplats finns också flera fort och bunkrar som går tillbaka till inbördeskriget.

Charles Prescott i Erie, PA dog och lämnade 3 miljoner dollar till sina systrar Josie och Mary Prescott i Portsmouth, NH. De använde medlen för att bygga Prescott Park. Prescott-systrarna är direkt ansvariga för skapandet av det som nu kallas Prescott Park. Prescott Park innehåller över 10 tunnland fontäner och trädgårdar vid vattnet längs floden Piscataqua. Det finns ett antal historiska lager som bevarades från förstörelse som Sheaf Warehouse som utrustade USS Ranger kapten av John Paul Jones.
Wentworth-By-The-Sea har varit ett historiskt landmärke i New Castle sedan det byggdes av Campbell-familjen 1874. Lokal öl-tycoon Frank Jones, utökade hotellet efter att han köpte det 1879 och ägde det till sin död 1902 ... Hotellet höll delegaterna till undertecknandet av fördraget om Portsmouth 1905 som slutade Russo-Japanese War. Det exklusiva lyxhotellet hade besökare som Prince Charles, Roosevelts, Kennedys och en mängd andra kändisar. På 1980-talet stängde hotellet sina dörrar med osäkerheten att någonsin öppnas igen. Med konjunkturnedgången gick hotellet i full oordning.

Dawn is an excellent guide and made our tour extremely enjoyable

Paul was a very good Tour guide, providing lots of interesting history and local information, and keeping us safe on the roads. Biking along the coast on a beautiful May morning was really enjoyable, and we also liked stopping at various historic sites.

Had an excellent time on this tour with Don. A wonderful way to spend the morning and see Portsmouth. Cycled through Prescott park, pierce island and all the way to Newcastle island. Thoroughly enjoyed Don’s narration and history facts. Got to know a little bit about Portsmouth’s history and some fun facts! Brilliant way to see Portsmouth, highly recommend!

We had an incredible time on our bike tour with Donna. We did the 3 hr tour hitting every part of Portsmouth. Our e-bikes worked great and were very comfortable. Donna was a true historian of the area and told us all about the history and prominent sites with her enthusiastic energy which made it truly interesting. Our ride was challenging enough to keep us active and moving while being totally doable. What a great way to see the area in a way that would be very difficult to do on your own as a visitor. I highly recommend it!

So much fun! I surprised my husband with this excursion for his bday. We like the coast and being outdoors. Never rode an e-bike before. What a great way to see the coast and learn about the local history. Dawn was our guide. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. She even brought my husband a birthday baklava treat! I was concerned about riding on the streets but Dawn made me feel very comfortable and paid close attention to us and the surroundings. The e-bikes took a little bit to get used to, but once we did it made the ride so easy.
