It’s a long day, but it covers all the bases. The last stop was more of a wine shop and less of a winery, which I was a little disappointed by. The river cruise was nice, but not on traditional boats and didn’t involve any educational information.
This tour was perfect for me to get a taste of the Douro Valley for the whole day. We went to some two wonderful wineries with great knowledgeable hosts and great porto! Lunch was tasty and authentically Portuguese at the first winery. The river cruise along the Douro was beautiful - a great way to end the tour before going back to Porto. Thank you to our tour guide, Michael and driver Albano.
Wonderful experience traveling through the scenic roads and river of the Douro. Licinio and Julio did a wonderful job of guiding our group, and made it fun, entertaining, and informative. Highly recommend!!!!
Super interesting, it’s a must-do. From the pickup, the Port wine tasting, to the boat ride on the Douro, it was great.
It was a brilliant tour, our guide Ricardo was fantastic and did everything he could to ensure the experience was the very best it could be.
Great experience - long day - fantastic wineries and tasting - lunch was delicious and plentiful. Our guide - Ricardo - was the best we have ever had. Kept us entertained the whole journey.
A super complete experience: central meeting point, the guide Milena was super fun, the wine was tasty, the lunch was delicious, the views on the cruise through the Douro Valley were beautiful, they explain both the history and curious facts about the valley very well, as well as the production process, history, and differences between the different wines. However, if what you want is to visit vineyards, this is not the tour. The tasting is done in 2 different places, the first is a winery where they explain the process for making the wine, and the second is a tasting in a room.
This trip was really enjoyable due to the tour guide Ricardo. He was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. Red and white wine was included with the lunch, which was very nice and then the various readings of port added to the tour. Highly recommended.
We book 2 tickets and from the beginning and tour guide put us separately. This ist absolutely no go . Its not my responsibility to ask other people . Absolutely disgusting tour guide how he treated us
We had a fantastic time on our trip with Miguel - a funny, very very well informed sommelier guide with a great playlist! The boat trip was dreamy - could have stayed on there all day soaking up the wonderful scenery, we had a surprise vineyard stop, a wonderful 3 course lunch, a stop at a fancy bar and a fascinating tour of the co-operative winery! The port tasting was excellent (just the right amount) and we tried all different types in two wonderful locations. Exceptional value for money - thank you!
