We had an absolutely exceptional experience with Kara Tours in Porto, led by Krishan, and I truly cannot recommend him highly enough. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled with such care and thoughtfulness. Krishan picked up our family of four from the airport in a spacious, spotless van that easily accommodated all of our large suitcases. He had clearly thought of every detail—bottled water, hand wipes, pillows for comfort, and the most incredible homemade snacks and sangria (which my mom is still talking about!). It immediately set the tone for the level of hospitality we would experience throughout our time with him. One of the things that really stood out was his flexibility and kindness. Since our Airbnb wasn’t ready yet, Krishan graciously held onto all of our luggage while we went on a food tour, then returned promptly to pick us up and take us to our Airbnb—helping us with our bags along the way. That level of service made our arrival day completely stress-free. We also booked a private Douro Valley wine tour with him, and it was truly a highlight of our trip. Krishan curated an incredible day, organizing tastings at three beautiful and unique wineries, including one with a delicious lunch, and even included a scenic boat tour. Despite the chilly March weather, he came fully prepared with a thoughtful spread of homemade snacks and port wine to keep us warm and comfortable—again going above and beyond in every way. What made the experience even more special was how much he genuinely cared. Krishan captured so many beautiful moments for our family, taking photos and videos throughout the day and later sharing them as a thoughtfully put-together album and reels. It was such an unexpected and meaningful touch. Krishan didn’t miss a single detail. He treated our family like his own and consistently went the extra mile in ways both big and small. He is the true definition of hospitality. Our favorite tour of the trip to Portugal was the Douro valley wine tour we took with Krish. His attention to detail and knowledge of the best places to see are beyond expression.
