När du går in i tunneln viskar den till dig denna världs hemligheter och den gamla historien om detta tempel byggt 1297.
Gå ombord på minivanen och kör böljande kullar som omger Chiang Mai för att uppleva Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Gå sedan upp för en trappa med 306 trappsteg som leder till templet Doi Suthep. Denna trappa som leder till platsen är prydd med den imponerande kroppen av den mytomspunna drakhövdade ormen, eller Naga, som slingrar sig nerför 306 trappsteg. Detta är definitivt det bästa sättet att närma sig templet men det finns också en bergbana om du är mindre stadig på fötterna. När du når toppen kan du beundra den gyllene pagoden i Lanna-stil täckt med graverade guldplattor, flankerad av fyra prydnadsparasoller, och en fantastisk nattutsikt över staden från berget.

Just a cathartic evening of spirituality. Rising above Chiang Mai to witness the majestic grounds of this temple was amazing.
Nice small group and knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Both sites also have lots of history and worth seeing up close. Would have been nice to watch the sunset from the viewing platform at the top of the steps but that aside, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

We had an absolutely wonderful time visiting both sites. We chose the evening tour and were not disappointed. The air-conditioned van ride, both Pick Up and Drop Off to and from hotel, was safe and comfortable. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, attentive, respectful and friendly. He was mindful of the range of ages and needs in his group, and provided support when needed. He took the time to highlight interesting historical references, meanings, and insights we would otherwise have missed. Doi Suthep was especially stunning, a feast for the eyes that left us speechless and in awe. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience

It is worth this night visit. In addition to seeing it illuminated, heat and crowds of tourists are avoided. The girl who made us the guide very good, gave us very interesting information. Then he gave us a very good restaurant recommendation for dinner and even took us there. Top!

Great experience. Our guide took the time to explain what Buddhism entails. He explained the story of the Buddha through the fresco that goes around the temple. It was really great. And the Doi Suthep at night plus the view of Chiang Mai is absolutely to do
