Diamond Circle Myvatn Waterfalls och Husavik från Akureyri Tour

Vår Diamantcirkeltur från Akureyri besöker många otroliga naturunderverk på Nordisland på en dag - denna mångsidiga region innehåller många dolda pärlor samt mer välkända läckerheter. Vi besöker de fantastiska vattenfallen i området. Först ut är den eleganta Godafoss eller gudarnas vattenfall. Dettifoss är däremot ren råkraft, Europas mäktigaste vattenfall. Vi tar dig till sjön Mývatn och Námaskaro geotermiska område, där påverkan av vulkanisk aktivitet på regionens landskap. Kokande lerbassänger, varma källor, kratrar och svavellukten finns i överflöd. Vi gör också ett stopp vid Asbyrgi kanjon, där en liten skog och sjö sitter i hjärtat av en anmärkningsvärd hästskoformad kanjon. Skira klippor svävar i alla riktningar. Vi besöker Husavik, en av Islands vackraste byar. Beundra den charmiga hamnen och vackra kyrkan i centrum. En läcker lunchpaket ingår i din bokning.

Från Akureyri kör vi i cirka 30 minuter till vårt första stopp, som är till det vackra vattenfallet som heter Godafoss. Se fallen från flera utsiktspunkter och gå längs leden för det perfekta fototillfället.
Kör runt Lake Myvatn-området, som har ett unikt landskap från den bästa utsiktsplatsen. Gör ett kort fotostopp som har utsikt över sjön Mývatn. Ta in all majestät i detta unika landskap. Dussintals kratrar prickar landskapet, resultatet av forntida vulkanutbrott.
Detta karga steniga område innehåller kokande lerpölar och varma källor med moln av svavelånga som dröjer sig kvar överallt. Mineralerna från de geotermiska vattnen har lakat in i berget och marken här vilket resulterat i konstiga färger.
Vi stannar till vid Dettifoss, Europas mäktigaste vattenfall. Dettifoss skala och kraft är något att se. Du kan bevittna denna otroliga kraft från flera utsiktspunkter
Denna enorma hästskoformade kanjon kantas på tre sidor av massiva vertikala klippor som är upp till 330 fot höga. Dessa klippor är hem för en mängd fågelliv. I de djupaste delarna av kanjonen ligger en idyllisk damm som heter Botnstjorn.
En naturskön bilresa från Ásbyrgi till Húsavík. Denna charmiga fiskeby är Islands valskådningshuvudstad. Vi kommer inte att hinna med den dagen, men vi har tid att beundra livligheten i den centrala hamnen samt en av Islands vackraste kyrkor. Stoppet vid Húsavík är cirka 20 minuter. Húsavík fick internationell uppmärksamhet efter att ha medverkat i Will Ferrell-filmen "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga", på Netflix. Bilresan tillbaka till Akureyri är 1 timme, där du kommer att släppas av vid hamnen.

Well organized, good communication even with confusion and delays in getting off ship. One member of our party fell and had to be taken by ambulance but all was handled and the rest of the group was able to continue. Good flexibility for another group member with physical limitations. And, of course, the scenery was amazing!

This was an amazing trip and a great way to end my time in Iceland. Our guide, Vjeran, was wonderful and went above and beyond to make the day a great one, including taking pictures for us and making some extra stops for us. Highly recommend.
This was not the original tour we booked but a great substitute. The 3 stops around the lake were all so different and very interesting. Coming from Florida we have nothing like this! Excellent guide who was very knowledgeable.

Kjartan is an excellent guide, giving us lots of history and culture as we visited all the sights. Eugen drove skillfully, and the whole experience was outstanding.
Incredible experience, comfortable and safe coach. Kjartan and Eugen did a fabulous job and got us to our stops on time with an informative, entertaining commentary on the route and scenery. We really appreciated being upgraded to the more inclusive tour after our original booking was unexpectedly cancelled.
Kjartan was a great guide! He pointed out so many great things during the bus rides. The tour was also very efficient and it was the best way to see so many things in a short period of time! I would happily take a tour like this again! We also got to see Puffins which was a great treat!

Great tour - some d*mb-d*mbs in the group came back to the bus 20 minutes late so we couldn't stop in Husavik. Which we were really excited for! They were sitting near the back and many of us gave them some advice for screwing us over. Reminded them not to be late at next stop. They came back and stole an elderly couples seats and took the couples belongs and just set them in the aisle. The guys name was Pablo and back on the cruise ship I saw him arguing with a bartender over not enough alcohol in his drink. Who does that on a cruise? I m*ron named Pablo, that's who. Other than that, the tour was awesome, saw Puffins, too.
This wasvan 8 hour day with the weather not cooperating the second and third water fall couldn't be seen because of the low hanging clouds and no substitution was made for the things we couldn't see. Interesting land scape and mountains were in one area fantastic. Because of the weather and locations the crowds were at a minimum. Lunch was chicken soup or hamburgers which was acceptable.
