Kliv bortom rubrikerna och utforska den verkliga Dharavi på vår Dharavi Slum Tour med lokalbefolkningen som kallar det hem. Upptäck dess blomstrande småskaliga industrier, starka känsla av gemenskap och vardag. Under ledning av ett ansvarsfullt reseföretag stöder denna resa direkt lokala utvecklingsinitiativ. Du kommer att se ett brett utbud av företagsverksamhet: återvinning, keramiktillverkning, broderi, bageri, tvålfabrik, lädergarvning, poppadomtillverkning och många fler. Vi kommer också att besöka bostadsområdena. Du kommer att se allaktivitetshuset som drivs av vår icke-statliga organisation Reality Gives som finansieras genom vinster från turnéerna. Vi hämtar dig från ditt hotell och åker med bil till Dharavi. Om du bor i södra Mumbai (t.ex. Colaba, Marine Drive) kommer vi att passera olika historiska områden av intresse och vi kommer att stanna vid Dhobi Ghat, den största utomhus tvättstuga i världen. Om du bor i norra Mumbai som Bandra eller Juhu, då åker vi direkt till Dharavi.

När vi reser till Dharavi med bil stannar vi till och ser världens största utomhustvätt. Vi kommer att se dhobiwallahs, eller tvättare, skura lakan från Mumbais största sjukhus och hotell i detta livliga tvättområde utomhus!
Vandra genom de smala gränderna och gränderna i Dharavi och upptäck de olika samhällena från alla regioner och religioner i Indien såväl som de många småskaliga industrierna som broderi, bageri, tvålfabrik, lädergarvning, poppadomtillverkning
