Det är en turné där älskare av historia, politik, natur och fotografi möter varandra. På bara 7 timmar utforskar du georgiska Sahara, Rainbow Mountains, David Gareji Lavra och sjön. När allt kommer omkring återvänder du till Tbilisi och avslutar turen klockan 17.00.

Traveller's Meeting Point - är ett ledigt utrymme där du kan träffa nya spännande människor, spela brädspel, lyssna på bra musik eller njuta av ett glas vin.
Det första stället där du kommer att stanna är en butik för att köpa snacks. Eftersom området inte har några bra restauranger och vi inte har något lunchstopp bör du få lite tilltugg för att inte känna dig för hungrig och obekväm. Och sedan går vi till en salt sjö, där vi har en enastående möjlighet att ta några fina bilder. Sjön är på väg till David Gareji Lavra, och utsikten är häpnadsväckande för att ta minnesvärda bilder. Totalt för butiken och sjön kommer vi att ha 30 minuter på oss.
Efter sjön fortsätter vi att köra genom Udabno Village, översatt som en öken. Området dit vi ska resa är det enda som Georgien har i halvöken, och det är mer än fantastiskt att se hur mångfaldig georgisk natur är.
Vi börjar gå mot de berömda Rainbow Mountains i slutet av körningen. Det mest imponerande inslaget i landskapet är den mineralrika sedimentära bergarten, som ser ut att ha målats med färgglada ränder. Det är möjligt att vandra genom Rainbow Mountains, som förvånar besökare med sina färger. Vi kommer att gå genom Rainbow Mountains, ta många fascinerande bilder och förbereda oss för David Gareji Lavras historiska turné. David Gareji Monastery Complex är en av de mest andliga platserna i landet. Du kommer att höra berättelserna om klostret, vandra lite och se en georgisk soldat vid gränsen mellan Georgien och Azerbajdzjan. Man tror att St. David valde denna isolerade plats eftersom han ville att hans lärjungar skulle leva ett liv i helighet oberoende av resten av samhället.
Efter David Gareji Lavra kommer du tillbaka till Tbilisi och avslutar turnén klockan 17.00.

Tota (Nicholas) was a fantastic guide, he was very knowledgeable about the local history and answered my (many) questions. Zaza drove much safer than your average Marshutka driver and his van had seatbelts which I appreciated. The monastery and rainbow mountains were stunning, well worth the visit!

It was great. Tota was a wonderful guide and the views hiking in the rainbow mountains were spectacular. Zaza, the driver got us there very safely. I would definitely recommend doing this tour if you love nature and a nice hike with a picnic at the end.

Zaza was our driver and Tota (Nicholas) was our guide for the trip and he was fantastic! He led our lovely hike through the rainbow mountains. I do believe maybe 5 more minutes at the rainbow mountains would have been better, but it was very windy, so I understand. There were no big crowds at any of the stops. In fact, there were almost no people on the hike. The hike to the picnic, the ancient monastery, it was all lovely. One of the cutest day trips you can do—quieter, more kinesthetic with the hiking, perfect for someone who would want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life for a few hours and soak in the landscape and the wind. We had an excellent tour with Tota to Rainbow Mountain. The trip was very informative, and Tota shared a lot of interesting information throughout the day. We had the best time with our guide Tota ! We were a small group with 5 people and Tota made sure we had the best group spirit. We learned a lot about Georgian history and Tota took us on a very beautiful hike to the best picnic spot. We would definetely do it all over again. Would totally be careful about the weather though, i can imagine it would be very difficult in the summer heat. We had a cloudy day so it was perfect.
