Fraud alert! This business charged me but does not exist anymore. The address listed has a different business that obviously moved in some time ago. The guy texted me on WhatsApp and told me to go to a different address. We went, and it was a residence. He then didn't answer the phone when we called.
Hi Corinne, as we spoke on the phone the day of the rental, we are moving bike shops currently. You seemed to understand when I explained this. Unfortunately this event suggested some complications on the delivery of the bikes. We offered you an alternative so you could pick them up an hour later for free, since we know this changed a bit your plans. We understand that you declined our offer, but this comment is absolutely out of context, is really surprising for us actually, having spoken to you about this situation, offering you an alternative for free and over that having issued your refund the same day. We really hope you were able to enjoy your vacation! (For anyone reading this review, we suggest omitting this and check all of our products where we only have excellent reviews since our commitment points only there. Many thanks)
Great communication with Miguel. New bikes. Fun ride along the bluffs. The paraders were a pleasant surprise.
Miguel and his team in the bike shop were great. Well maintained bikes, friendly local service and great bike trails around the coast from Algorta - highly recommended as a day trip from Bilbao on the metro.
This is THE best way to explore Getxo, the Basque coastline, and to get around the tight streets of the old seaport towns. Make sure there is pleasant weather, and download WhatsApp to communicate with the tour operators (as an American it's easy to forget that every other country uses WhatsApp as the singular form of messaging-so make sure to set up an account before arriving).
This was a wonderful bike ride, nice pace and local knowledge shared along the way! Miguel has excellent English and made sure to check on all taking part throughout. We stopped for a drink mid way which was nice and a chance to hear more about local culture. A worthwhile venture!
