Din tur börjar kl. 13.00 i hjärtat av Cusco, det vackra Plaza de Armas. Här kommer din Guide att visa dig de viktigaste koloniala och Inka byggnader runt torget och förklara hur detta område en gång var den viktigaste ceremoniella centrum för Inkariket. Du kommer sedan att gå till den berömda 12-vinklade stenen, perfekt inpassad i en gammal inkamur, och fortsätta längs Loreto Street, som anses vara ett av de finaste exemplen på inka stadsdesign, med ursprungliga stenmurar på båda sidor. Det är den perfekta introduktionen till Cuscos blandning av inka och kolonialhistoria.
Därefter besöker du Coricancha, en gång det viktigaste templet i hela Inkariket, tillägnat solen, här ser du hur Spanska byggde Santo Domingo-klostret precis ovanpå de ursprungliga Inka-grunderna. Inuti kan du tydligt jämföra den perfekta Inka stenarbeten med den koloniala arkitekturen ovanför den. Din Guide kommer att förklara hur detta tempel en gång var täckt av guld och användes för viktiga ceremonier, astronomi och dyrkan, vilket gör det till en av de mest fascinerande platserna i Cusco.
Du beger dig sedan med bil till Sacsayhuaman, den mest imponerande inkaplatsen med utsikt över Cusco. Denna enorma fästning är känd för sina gigantiska sicksack stenmurar, med block så perfekt monterade att du inte ens kan skjuta en bit papper mellan dem. När du går igenom platsen kommer din Guide att dela berättelser om Inka strider, ceremonier och hur Sacsayhuaman spelar en nyckelroll än idag under Inti Raymi festivalen. Härifrån kan du också njuta av några av de bästa panoramautsikterna över Cusco och de omgivande bergen.
Ditt nästa stopp är Qenqo, ett mystiskt inka-ceremoniellt centrum nästan helt hugget av sten. Du kommer att utforska dess slingrande passager, snidade kanaler och dolda altaren som sannolikt användes för viktiga ritualer. Namnet Qenqo betyder ”sicksack” på quechua, och när du är inne förstår du varför. Din Guide kommer att förklara de olika teorierna om dess användning och den andliga innebörden av denna heliga plats, hjälper dig att föreställa dig hur det såg ut i Inkatiden.
Du fortsätter till Puka Pukara, vars namn betyder "Röda fortet" på quechua. Denna plats fungerade förmodligen som en militär kontrollpunkt och rastplats på vägen som förbinder Cusco med den heliga dalen och djungeln. Från sina terrasser och stenmurar får du öppna vyer över landskapet och kan föreställa dig inkabud och resenärer som passerar. Här ser du perfekt byggda akvedukter och kanaler som fortfarande transporterar vatten efter hundratals år. Det är en lugn, vacker plats att njuta av den friska luften, ta bilder och uppskatta Inkafolkets djupa respekt för naturen innan du åker tillbaka till Cusco.

Our family of four had an absolutely epic adventure exploring the Sacred Valley! From start to finish, everything was seamless – the van was comfortable, the itinerary was perfectly paced, and the communication with the team was responsive and helpful throughout our whole vacation. Our tour guide, Katia, was the highlight of the experience. She was not only kind, knowledgeable, and engaging, but also deeply passionate about sharing the stories and traditions of her ancestors. Her personal connection to the sites made the history come alive in such a meaningful way. Trexperience was recommended by a close personal friend from their recent Peru trip. It did not disappoint. Frank was very knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful. He picked us upon our arrival at the airport in Cusco. We visited a llama sanctuary on our way out to Pisac and Ollytaytambo. The impressive archeological sites are amplified when coupled with explanations by someone with deep pride and knowledge of the history. Frank altered our itinerary when he recognized our fatigue from the red eye flight. Day two we visited Chinchero, Moray and Maras for more local history. Each day included a van, driver, lunch, entry tickets to archeological sites, and hotel. Why sit in Cusco waiting to acclimatize when you can explore, learn and immerse prior to Machu Picchu?

English speaking guide Jennifer was patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. One of group members got sick and she was extremely helpful. All ended well. Great trip. Everything arranged by Trexperience well. Roger, our tour guide was the best. He told interesting facts and stories throughout the tour to make it exciting for our family. The trip was a super easy way to visit all the key sites of the Incans, and we were led by our wonderful guide, Jennifer. She had a wealth of knowledge about every site, and was able to answer every question. We also stopped at a llama and alpaca center, which was a super fun experience.

The Sacred Valley tour was amazing! Everything is organized really well, and the benefit of doing this tour is you get to see so many different sites in one day! This is perfect for those with limited time and want to see a lot of the important sites. Jennifer, our host, also made the trip really interesting and entertaining. TreXperience had a fun premade tour through the Sacred Valley, but our Guide Leo made the valley come alive with history and levity and Victor kept us safe and comfortable along dynamic roadways. Ullantaytambo was positioned at the right elevation for us to acclimate before time in Cusco and a 4-day hike on the Inca Trail. To our larger trip with TreXperience, we added two days of tours through the Sacred Valley, which finished in Cusco. This was semi custom. There is more to experience in the Andes and I would find Leo to lead me off the beaten path.
Leo was an amazing guide and would highly recommend him to all my friends and family. Victor keep us on time and was an excellent driver. My greatest thanks to the both of them.
