Du kommer att se mer naturskönhet och uppleva naturen bättre på en cykeltur än med bil. Denna turné levereras endast av mig själv, Alasdair och mina lokala kollegor. Jag är företagsägare för Visit Oxford Tours. Men i försäkringssyfte är dessa turer faktiskt bokade för att genomföras privat via mig själv som egenföretagare som erbjuder dig en personlig service. De levereras inte som en produkt som levereras av Visit Oxford Tours Ltd. Denna juridiska distinktion kommer att bekräftas skriftligen närhelst någon bokning tas emot. Standardvägen är 10:00 till 17:30. The Cotswolds är en naturskön del av England som ligger bara 10 minuter med tåg från Oxford eller mindre än 30 minuters skatteresa från Oxford. Oxford ligger bara 60 minuter från London Paddington station. Det är ett nöje för mig att dela dessa sevärdheter och arv med dig på en aktiv cykeltur. Deltagarna måste vara vältränade och i åldern 14+ eftersom Cotswolds-vägarna är mycket upp- och nedcykling men landskapet plus byarna här är vackra.

Vi stannar här för ett kort besök för att se ruinerna av den stora romerska villan. Denna del av England har också många vägar byggda på vad som ursprungligen var romerska vägar. Den här webbplatsen är gratis och det är cirka 4 miles cykel från vår startpunkt.
Crawley är bara en av flera mycket pittoreska små byar med byar som vi passerar genom på rutten. Du kan se många vackra traditionella Cotswolds stenstugor och pittoreska trädgårdar i dessa byar.
Det här är en annan naturskön by som vi kan passera genom. Om det behövs för en drink eller ett lunchstopp har Wilcote även en pub.
Du kan se några riktigt vackert bevarade stuggator här och det finns också möjlighet att stanna för drinkar eller lunch här också, men huvudattraktionen är ruinerna av den medeltida Minster Lovell herrgårdshemmet och klosteret.
Burford är allmänt känd som "porten till Cotswolds", delvis tack vare dess läge och dess mycket historiska huvudgata. Faktum är att den här byn har medverkat i flera historiska tv-dramer på BBC TV. Burford har massor av kaféer och butiker och vi kan stanna här för afternoon tea, om så önskas.

a fantastic bike ride through the typical landscapes typical of the Cotswolds: the hedges, the sheep, the small nice villages (the lesser known, so less touristy. Our guide John did a great job: my electric bike didn't work properly and he immediately switched his bike in front of mine and cycled bravely and in good spirits through the Cotswold hills without electricity. We got stories about the Romans, the sheep farmers, the Mitford sisters and so much more interesting tidbits. relax in its pure form. Highly recommended and a top guide !!
As a solo tour, I got to see what I wanted to I see and stay there as long as I wanted to spend. Oliver, custom created the experience I was looking for. He was also very patient to the point of getting off the bikes and walking when the downward hill we were facing was above my biking skills level.

We had an unforgettable day on this beautiful cycling tour!! We saw out of the way places we never would have found on our own, learned all sorts of interesting things from our amazing guide, and had a great meal at a beautiful pub. The equipment was high quality, the route was awesome (we encountered very few cars), and we always felt very safe. The e-bike allowed us to go as far as we wanted with only so much effort as we cared to contribute. This day will go down as one of those truly special ones in the adventure book! Book it, you won’t be sorry!

It was too wet and rainy for the bike tour so our guide took us in his car. It was EXCELLENT. He was very knowlegable, friendly and a great way to spend a reainy English day.

We spent a month working in Oxford, from the States, and so I splurged for my teenage son and friend, 18 and 16. They loved it. Nadine was their guide. My 18 yr old sent a text on way back, in the taxi: “that was honestly the best bike trip i’ve ever done, thank you so much for that mom! you really hit the jackpot on this one”

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Alasdair who took us on this tour. Given that our time in Cotswold was short (2 days), this tour checked all the boxes for us : 1) affable and knowledgeable guide (Alasdair) to show us around the villages, country lanes, and ruins 2) the flexible itinerary was good as it meant that we could stop wherever and whenever we wanted, and there was no time pressure - we could explore each site where we stopped at our pace 3) we get to see some pretty amazing sights that we would have missed had we been just driving around 4) getting around on the e-bikes was ideal for this type of terrain (up and down slopes); we get to exercise a bit but at the same time not over-exert 5) this type of tour is weather dependent and we were blessed to have a mainly sunny ride throughout the day in Spring

Did this tour as part of a trip to Oxford with my husband and our two little ones (8 and 12) - was a little concerned about their stamina for the cycling but our guide (Alasdair?) was happy to take it slow for us and all had a lovely time! Lovely day out, beautiful views and we now all know a lot more about the Cotswalds for sure!
