På denna tur ska vi besöka Gironakusten, döpt för 100 år sedan som Costa Brava. Namnet beror på dess unika klippiga, karga och skurna kustlinje, som består av små vikar omgivna av tallskog och lappade av kristallvatten. Förutom den karakteristiska reliefen av dess kust, är Costa Brava också känd för sina vackra städer. De var tidigare små fiskarstäder, fulla av hus med vitkalkade murar samt medeltida städer med stenbyggnader och smala gator; än idag har de behållit sin unika charm. Under dagen kommer vi att avslöja de mest representativa och symboliska städerna av oöverträffad skönhet på Costa Brava. När vi utforskar dessa städer kommer vi också att upptäcka deras olika landskap och kontraster. Deras världsberömda stränder kommer att få dig att tappa andan.

Vi tar motorvägen och klockan 10:15 vi kommer att anlända till Calella de Palafrugell, en liten fiskeby som fortfarande behåller det traditionella utseendet i det förflutna. Det är en by med stor skönhet i både arkitektur och landskap. Staden, stänkt med små vikar, blir en sammansmältning av land och hav som är en otrolig miljö. Vi kommer att ha ledig tid att utforska byn, njut av landskapet och säkert ta fantastiska bilder.
Omkring 11:15 börjar vi gå längs Camino de Ronda, som kommer att leda oss till grannstaden Llafranc. Vi kommer att vandra ca 30 minuter, lämplig för alla åldrar, lätt terräng för alla. ”Camino de Ronda” gränsar till hela Costa Brava och användes för att kontrollera smugglingen till sjöss. Idag, tack vare detta, kan du upptäcka vackra platser som annars inte skulle vara tillgängliga. Llafranc är också en liten, elegant och fängslande kuststad, med all förtjusning i städerna på denna kust. Du kommer att ha ledig tid för lunch och smaka på de typiska fiskarnas rätter i detta område. Om du vill kan du också ta ett dopp i Medelhavet vid dess fantastiska strand.
Vårt nästa besök blir Begur, en stad med eleganta herrgårdar som ligger nedanför ett gammalt slott och är känd för sina ”indiska hus”. De så kallade ”indianerna” var stadens invånare som invandrade till Amerika på 1700-talet; de tjänade en förmögenhet och när de pensionerades återvände de och byggde dessa eleganta herrgårdar. När du promenerar längs gatorna kommer du att upptäcka denna unikt vackra arkitektur som har en unik blandning av medelhavs- och karibiska stilar.
Peratallada, förklarad som historisk-konstnärlig plats och kulturell tillgång av nationellt intresse, är ett av de mest framstående exemplen på landets medeltida arkitektur. Du kommer att bli förvånad över dess säregna läge på toppen av en klippa, liksom den spektakulära vallgraven utgrävd inuti den, som omger staden. Vid ankomsten tar vi en promenad genom dess smala slingrande gator, upptäcker dess ursprungliga slottspalats, dess exceptionella befästningssystem och dess stenhus vars gator har varit praktiskt taget oförändrade genom tidens gång.
Sista stoppet kommer att vara Pals, förklarad Cultural Asset of National Interest, en stad som ligger inåt landet och på toppen av en kulle. Byn är byggd helt i en integrerad medeltida plats. På toppen finns ett cylindriskt torn från 1100-talet, som är synligt från långt bort. Den har en utmärkt terrass som erbjuder fantastisk utsikt över Costa Brava och omgivningarna. När du går genom kullerstensgatorna kommer du att känna att du har rest tillbaka i tiden. Ta dig tid att uppskatta de runda valven, fasader med spetsiga fönsterbågar, stenbalkonger, allt perfekt restaurerat. Klockan 18:00 är turen avslutad och vi åker tillbaka till Barcelona, dit vi anländer runt 20:00.

We had an excellent experience on the Costa Brava tour visiting the traditional villages with Barcelona Holiday. Everything was very well organized, and the itinerary was the perfect mix of sightseeing, local culture, and free time to explore. The villages were beautiful and authentic, with charming streets, stunning coastal views, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy local food and take photos. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. Transportation was comfortable, the schedule was well planned, and the overall service exceeded our expectations. This tour is a fantastic way to discover the true character of the Costa Brava. Excellent tour, all towns are extremely beautiful. The two medieval towns on the afternoon are awesome, looks you go back on time. The tour is perfectly organized, punctual, informative and with an excellent guide. Recommended 100%. Best day of my vacations.

Unfortunately this tour was cancelled day before trip. Unable to secure another tour to the area as I was only visiting Barcelona for a few days. Very disappointed.
Dear Nieves, We are very sorry that you were unable to participate in our activity due to its cancellation the day before. We received an emergency warning related to a possible rise in the river that passes through some of the towns we visit, due to heavy rainfall in the area. The risk of flooding was very high. As this was considered a case of force majeure, the tour was cancelled to guarantee the safety of all participants. An immediate refund was issued. We regret that situations like these may be difficult for some participants to understand and that we are penalized for acting preventively. Fortunately, these situations are completely exceptional.
This tour had everything to explore and experience Costa Brava - scenic bus tour, three different old world fishing/resort towns, a hike along the coast between the towns. A boat ride along the rugged coast with underwater viewing, and lastly stopping at a medieval town. Lots of free time to explore each area and choice of lunch places on the seaside. The guides were friendly, fun and personable and knowledgeable about the history and areas. They quickly answered my questions via WhatsApp before the tour. It was a fantastic outing thoroughly enjoyed the day. I would highly recommend this tour company to get an overall view of Costa Brava.
It was the most breathtaking tour. Our tour guide was sweet, kind & very knowledgeable. The beach was fabulous, the views spectacular, and the boat ride was amazing. We had time for a delicious lunch & coffee. II was a perfect day!!
This was an outstanding trip that offered a great variety of experiences of Costa Brava all in one day. We highly recomend it. Our guide Monica was exceptional with her commentary on the area. She had extensive knowledge while at the same time didn't overload us with too much detail. Great value for money.
The 11h tour of the Costa Brava seemed like a great idea to know the most relevant and beautiful of the area in just one day. It is an excursion to go with energy and eager to know the landscapes of the Costa Brava. There is some free time to eat and observe the views in some parts of the tour but it is rather a tour to move while you are visiting the towns that it includes, all beautiful and with a lot of history. On hot days the air-conditioned bus is very grateful. Indispensable to wear sun cream! 100% recommended!
This was an Amazing experience!!! Loved everything about it! All 3 Stops were breathtaking. Our tour guide LUIS was GREAT - he was very knowledgeable, friendly, patient, respectful and charismatic - I can’t say enough. Thanks Luis 😊 Muchísimas Gracias!!!! And the best part was that when we arrived at our last stop to have lunch - Luis made sure that our table at the restaurant was ready for us and this was ocean side view. The staff at the restaurant was courteous, friendly and fast. Luis made sure that our meals came out before anyone else’s - amazing experience. The food was DELICIOUS and FRESH!!! This is an excellent full day tour of the Costa Brava plus a stop at a Medieval village dating from the 12th century. The tour is both informative and fully packed. A tour of the Greek and Roman ruins of Empurres was extremely informative and would be of interest to any student of history. A particular shout out of Jorge, our guide, who not only provided excellent commentary but spent time one on one with each member of our tour group. Again, and excellent introduction to the beautiful Costa Brava!
