Sanssouci är en historisk byggnad i Potsdam. Byggt av Fredrik den Store, kung av Preussen, som hans sommarpalats, räknas det ofta till de tyska rivalerna i Versailles.

The New Palace är ett palats som ligger på den västra sidan av Sanssouci-parken i Potsdam, Tyskland. Byggnaden påbörjades 1763, efter slutet av sjuårskriget, under kung Friedrich II och stod färdig 1769. Det anses vara det sista stora preussiska barockpalatset.

Our tour guide Martin was fantastic- he was very knowledgeable and super friendly!! He customized the tour to our needs and preferences and did not try to pack too many places in the time we had. It was a very leisurely tour and informative at the same time. Highly recommend both this tour and Martin and the guide!!

Betty did a very good job of getting us to various points in Potsdam. Her knowledge of the area was very good and her history again very good. There was a lot of walking on the tour and so that surprised me as I knew there was some walking but not to the amount we did. That is not Betty’s fault however since I am mobility challenged it was a bother for me. Again this is not Betty… but for the cost of the day per person we have had a private driver in other cities who took us to all points by car
San Souci palace was the highlight. However unfortunately we got a late start as we missed the direct train because our guide had to purchase tickets resulting in poor time slots for the 2 palaces. This delayed us by over an hours overall and thus missed other items on our itinerary.

This was an excellent adventure to Postdam. Our tour guide, Miha, was very helpful and informative. He was also flexible and customized our tour based on what we wanted to see. Would definitely recommend.

We spent four plus hours with Betty, who was irreverent AND very knowledgeable - quite fun! A good overview of the role of Frederick the Great in German history.

He loves to share his ideas and experiences on any subject, not just about Potsdam and its kings and castles. We also enjoyed a lovely stroll through the mature gardens of the Sans Souci Palace and a very pleasant walk through the central area of Potsdam.
